The Ortiz who beat Jennings destroys Wilder. 100%

    Hypothetical

30 year old Ortiz might have been rubbish

Wilder still always has a punchers chance

Most heavyweights slow and stand in front on their opponent after a couple of rounds no matter the age like Ortiz which is fatal against Wilder

He didn't give Wilder hell in the 2nd fight. Wilder was calm throughout, even though getting thoroughly outboxed, the plan was to wait for the late fight and try to not get hurt and countered by Ortiz which they did.

I dont think the plan was to drop 6 straight rounds to a geriatric opponent. Ortiz was having his way with him and got too complacent.

I think the Ortiz in the second fight would beat the Wilder in the first fight.

Edit: In my opinion Ortiz didn't train as professional as neccessary in his 30s to fight top contenders. I don't know if he didn't have the means to do so or lack of motivation or if he just felt comfortable with his skillset he had. But he looked quite overweighted in some fights.

If the dodgy dealings with the doctor at the start of the 8th round didn't happen, maybe Luis Ortiz would've got him out of there. I don't know what would've happened, but that was disgusting.

This. I think Ortiz from 2014-2015 would’ve had a much better shot, but even so Ortiz could still get touched by Wilder’s right hand and get taken out, since Ortiz even in his prime has always been a sucker for right hands.

If Ortiz fought Wilder when he was younger he would be arrested for child abuse.

The young man who sparred Teofilo Stevenson would have moidered da bum.

He dreamed of winning the world championship ever since he was a lad watching the Rumble in the Jungle with his dad. Such as shame that he was only beaten by father time, who knocks us all out eventually.

Wilder wasn't even born when Ortiz was "young".

Welcome to boxing, where the old often lose to the young.

It would have been a Fury-esque type mismatch if old pops had been even a decade younger!
