Does he have a claim as the mythical P4P best fighter in the world?

Penn is out of the equation for now after losing to Edgar, and Silva is coming of that embarrasing display against a clearly overmatched Maia.

Throw in Fedor's recent level of oppositon and does Machida get a sniff of that top spot? :think

GSP is my choice at the moment, BTW.

I certainly would put him up there, but he has to win strong and convincingly.

The winner of Shogun/Machida gets p4p #4 or 5 IMO.

I'd like to see Shogun rematch Griffin though. See if he can revenge the loss or not. I don't give a **** what anybody says, Griffin can still put up a helluva fight.

I heard Shogun wasn't at his best at the fight so I am actually really interested in that fight.

No. Fedor, Silva and GSP are above.

Even if Machida beats Shogun that only solidifies his spot as the #1 LHW in the world. GSP, Fedor, and Anderson Silva have cleared out their entire divisions. As good as Machida is he still needs to beat Rampage, Nogueira etc before he can be on the same level P4P.

Forrest beat Rua convincingly and Silva dominated him in brutal fashion. I think Silva is secure as p4p 1 haha.

Griffin has beat Jackson, Shogun, tito and will prob give little nog a great fight. Shows how good Silva's win was.

Silva beating Forrest looked to be a dive to me. Something fishy with that fight.

Although I still think Silva beats Forrest anyway, just looked fishy.

No, he doesn't top Fedor and GSP yet. GSP beating BJ twice would be like Machida beating Silva twice. I need to see that fight.
