    Charles in his first Marciano fight was not shot, he had KO's over satterfield and Wallace going into the fight, and Rocky managed to beat him via decision..

    Speaking of Camacho. DLH's victory over the Macho Man is probably better than most of Floyd's "big" wins.:deal

    He was signifcantly slipping, evident in the Johnson fight, but of course you're going to completely undermine that.

    Fact: Floyd will always rank ahead of Oscar in the ATG rankings. :deal

    Floyd's win over Corrales > All of Oscar's wins.

    Isn't my fault Oscar tends to mostly lose whenever he is against good opposition.

    If he had went undefeated in his career, perhaps he would be a top 7-8 ATG fighter.

    In the 3 years leading up to the fight, he has wins over Walcott, Oma, Maxim, Layne, Bivins, Wallace, and Satterfield and his only losses in that time span coming form Valdes, Johnso, Layne, and Walcott, all really good fighters. But of course you're going to completely undermine that.

    Layne was a padder if anything and never could step it up to the highest order of competition, Oma was already faded and that was his last fight (The dude was close to 35 years old I believe), Wallace is actually a journeyman type fighter, Bivins was never actually that good and was already on the downside to his career.

    Who has Wallace beaten? Please, it's evident you're just dropping names.

    Besides going 1-2 vs Walcott, he hasn't done anything worthwhile during those years.

    your so quick to credit floyd for beating an old and overwieght Marquez. .. yet, you are already loaded up excuses just in case Floyd loses

    Wallac ebeat marciano in the amateurs, and many involved with boxing at the time compare him to joe louis...

    And nothing worth while? He was beating hall of famers, and high ranking contenders...

    Int that 3 year period, Charles fought and beat some of the best guys on his resume. And not boxrec son, Charles is my favorite boxer, its just hard to tell cause I don't sadlle up and meat ride like you do floyd.

    And the only people that accuse people of using boxrec to name drop are the people whose argument has no substance. And what thi gets back to i if a mediocre fighter like Maidana beats a great boxer like floyd it is very significant.

    I suspect that this is just a way for you to hype floyd when he wins. You build it up a if Maidana has a seriou chance and say floyd is way past it and shot, and as oon as he wins it's "wow, floyd just keeps beating great fighter after great fighter, ORTIZ! fap fap fap, GUERRERO! fap fap fap, MAIDANAAA! SPLOOGE!!

    Please do not bring one's amateur pedigree in a professional boxing forum

    Howard Davis JR was one of the best amateur fighters around and an olympic gold medal

    But he could never make it big in pros

    Pro = Much different.

    You're right I'm just name dropping, I have never seen any of those fights... That's what it become when your arguments turn to **** after backing mine by evidence. But, it's just name droppings, despite all those guys I named minus Oma and maybe satterfeild were top 10 heavyweights at the time or top 10 LHW/ Champion. But, yeah that charles want ****.
