who wouldve won? based on Guerreros performance against Aydin? and a well trained and fully prepared Maidana? (just a reminder, they were schedule to fight and Guerrero injured his shoulder and the fight was called off)
What weight? 147 more in favour of Guerrero than 140 Don't really think much of Guerrero still... just calling out big names for a payday. Needs to fight somebody whereby I will want to watch the fight and then maybe watch him fight.
Toss up. But now? Probably Guerrero. Maidana has continuously faded fight by fight. His work-rate has worsened and his punch resistance doesn't seem to be on par with what it was either.
Yup. When before this fight was cancelled I was all hyped up to see what Maidana can pull But he seems to have faded - but maybe just because he fought the best version of Alexander we've seen to date? and he was new to 147 looking slightly chubby?
I think Guerrero has the skill to win a close, hard fought decision. Lazarus is right, Marcos has slowed his attack recently, and I think that gives Guerrero just enough of a margin to win.
**** of Lazarus , a ****ing toss up !!!!!! dear me Guerrero would of absolutely schooled him and probably forced a late stoppage on accumulation !!!!
No no no no !!!! Guerrero is on another level to Maidana , he has the reach and style to stand in front of him and hit him at will , Maidana is a limited slugger , if an opening is not presented he will not create one , Guerrero is very crafty as well as being offensively very capable , he's a very talented fighter , who punches very well in combinations He'd hammer Maidana from angles all night This is a bad stylistic match for MM :deal
I'm not sure what it's down to. Hunger maybe? If you've seen his fights with Kotelnik and Ortiz, he just looked so solid. He threw over 1000 vs Kotelnik, I think and the way he just walked through Ortiz's ****. I think it's just the amount of punishment he's been absorbing fight by fight. I doubt that he's training any easier. Credit to Alexander, he really does well with brawlers and fighters with little technical skill. You put a man that has good basic fundamentals in front of Alexander, and he'll struggle (Kotelnik).
i think a well prepared maidana would get a late ko, Aydin had Guerrero clinching for his life in the last rounds, and his workrate wasnt all that high. I think it also depends if guerrero can stick to a stick and move game plan and not trade with Maidana. anyways, good fight i hope it gets made again
probably guerrero. he looked solid at 147 whereas maidana, although one of my favorite fighters, looked really bad.
And so is your constant bull **** Kotelnik and Ortiz , what was that 2008/2009 ??? Where the **** have you been hiding ??? Maidana is shot , he was never great to begin with , Kotelnik schooled a prime Maidana , and Ortiz was caught on a really bad night against a hungry scrapper , props to Marcos for forcing the stoppage but whats he done since ??? , Danny Garcia done in 4 rounds what he couldnt get done in 12 against Khan and that aint a great achievement is it ??? Dont take that personally , its just the cold hard truth , Guerrero is the closest thing to being an elite fighter without having confirmed it , he'd blow Maidana to bits from all angles , he's a class act
I wanna see how Maidana is now especially with his new trainer in Robert Garcia. We shall see next month.
At 140 Maidana stops him late, Guerrero always gasses at the end of fights At 147 Guerrero SD think he will get dropped a few times
