Arslanbek Makmudov, Kabayel and Sanchez are all Fighting December 23, though I hadnt noticed Makmudov to be honest. In 2024 there will be no ducking him, he could attack from all angles, every contender, aside from WBC side.

After looking at the rankings, which some care about, some dont - I can see him entering Top 5 in every organization. Under the assumption that both Parker and Wallin lose, and Sanchez wining over Fa is a lesser win because Kabayel is better ranked opponent, I see rankings as following:

    • WBO - from #14 - #3 - replacing Joseph Parker
    • IBF - from #7 to #3 - jumping over Anderson who has no fight and Sanchez - making him most likley opponent for Hrgovic fight for vacant IBF belt
    • WBC - is #3, but should be number #1 - but boxing politic wont allow him because Wilder-Joshua needs to happen for WBC interim or vacant title
    • WBA - being a joke of organization that it is, Arslanbek should already be interim champ, he is ranked #3, but could topple down WIlder on #1, it makes no sense to keep wilder number 1, if not, he will replace Bakole at number 2
Ring - #4 easy - Fury, Wilder, Joshua, Makmudov, Zhang, Hrgovic, Sanchez...
Boxrec- #4 easy - Joshua, Wilder, Fury, Makmudov - but that is statistic dependent ranking

I actually think the lower half of the top 10 (Hrgovic, Zhang, Arslanbek, Bakole) would have success against Fury, Joshua, Wilder, Usyk but they're frozen out at the moment by politics.

Wallin vs Joshua could be the start of this.

Fury was exposed by Naganou hard, and his choice for defences against journeymen like Chisora and Whyte say it all, he is the fake champ of this generation. Makmudov would break his spine.

Whyte was literally mandatory with the WBC and a lot of people claimed that Fury would duck him lol.

Fury is fighting Usyk next as it stands, not a no-name who beat 41/42 year old Takam 6-4 on the Canadian cards. Makhmudov will be exposed and never win a world title.

To bad, he should have been striped after that devestating loss from Naganou, imagine what Makmudov would do to that fraud.

Unknown Makhmudov has been avoiding anyone above early 40's Takam level, which is no better than Chisora's win over Pulev. That Russian hypejob needs to fight someone with a pulse. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Kabayel turns him over.

It was a 10 round fight you numpty. The scorecards were 6-4 in rounds, it was similar to the Ruiz-Ortiz fight where a fresher Takam who hadn't suffered multiple KD's probably would have won the fight. As if the scorecards were favouring a foreign journeyman over their undefeated Canada-based A-side KO artist prospect. The scorecards on the forum and Boxrec were also giving Takam 4 rounds and more in some cases.

Takam was not "decent" at the time, decisioning a complete fraud in Yoka without KD's just means he's on a similar level to that 3rd rate cruiser Merhy.

Let's see if Mak can get by Kabayal before we crown him champ. The only step up fight he had was coincidentally the only opponent he didn't KO, and that was against a 40 year opponent who 3x Fury victim Chisora iced.

Makhmudov lost a couple of rounds to 42 Wach too and went 6 rounds. Had Wach been the same version who fought Wlad and Povetkin, Makhmudov may have lost that one. He's a big puncher but he's going nowhere.
