Agreed, I hope Hatton's management steers him away from a rematch.

It is unnecessary and would only result in Hatton taking another beating.

If he loses to that joke Malignaggi he should just retire.

There shouldn't be a rematch with Floyd anyway, Hatton is definitely on the slide judging by the Lazcano fight and would take an even bigger beating if the rematch with Floyd happens.

the way mayweather beat Hatton spoiled a rematch, especially as Hatton looked quite beatable against Lazcano.

any rematch would be a ****ing joke. There's no need for it....we want to see the supposed p4p best fight the winner of the Cotto-Margo fight, not a rematch with two-bob Hatton.

Exactly! If Malignaggi beats Hatton, then the justification & credibility of Hatton-Mayweather 2 goes out the window.

Listen, as much as I want Ricky to win, it's not a certainty that he beats Malignaggi.

Like B-Hop said about Felix Sr, "what his father did is considered child abuse in some states".

Ray Hatton making his son go in there again with Floyd would be child abuse.

I would think so. But with all the money that would still be involved, I wouldn't doubt it.

He's sacrificing his son to Floyd Mayweather, who thinks he is God.

Floyd knocked him off his balance into the ringpost, that hurt him badly. I doubt whether he could do that again. Hattons taken worse beating over the course of a match then he took from Floyd. Hatton defence is his head, he nearly always takes a beating.

I doubt whether Floyd/Hatton will happen and in the slight possibility it does it would be after Cotto/Mayweather.

Hatton haters just want to use Floyd not fighting Cotto as a stick to beat Hatton with. Floyd not fighting Cotto is not Hattons problem.

When Baldomir beat Judah did it spoil the Zab-Mayweather fight?

    NO!

But I don't think that Mayweather is looking for a Hatton rematch... I know Ellerbe says so because Hatton and Oscar brings the money to the table, but Hatton didn't look too good in his bounce-back fight, and looking good vs. slick Malignaggi won't be an easy thing... besides, I just don't see neither Hatton moving up to 147 nor Mayweather moving down to 140 after a rematch with Oscar at 150 and HBO is not really interested in Ricky anymore...

Mayweather is in Oscar's footsteps now, he's looking for a fight in every 9-12 months... so between September 2008 and let's say June 2009 a lot can happen - and I see Cotto beating Margarito, possibly Mosley again and who knows, maybe Oscar... So if Mayweather will be still fighting in 2009, it will be the big fight vs. Cotto... Team Mayweather is denying and trash-talking about this fight so loudly that it has to be the part of the promotion... Remember Oscar "I'll never fight Mayweather"... it ended up in the richest fight in boxing history...

The only reason I want Hatton to lose is so we don't see a rematch with PBF
