With Golden Boys backing and the fact Mundine can play bad guy vs good guy in Pavlik:hey

Isn't the real question something like:

"Can Mundine fight effectively at 160 lbs, or is the weight loss too big a factor?"

I saw his early fights in Australia. He's really not that good. Would get sparked by Pavlik in the first three minutes.

As far as we know, Mundine has yet to have a fight at 160. He ran so fast from Kessler at 168 I doubt he has the heart to survive a stare down with Pavlik.

Mundine shouldve made the trip across before - or right after his
    fight against Danny Green..

After watching Mundines last fight, from my eyes he looked fragile
and a shadow of himself - and that was against a bum..
I dont think he can make wakes in the US
at all now - but I believe he couldve at his peak..

As for the Kessler fight, I dont think Mundine was outclassed talent
wise at all - just wasnt experienced enough at the time to handle
such a quality opponent, he was overrawed by it at that stage in his
    career.

Then why did he vacate rather than face Kessler again? Or are you just talking about the first fight? Certainly he has the experience now. Beating Kessler would have made him THE MAN at SMW.

I completely agree there is to much hype around this guy. How many A-level fighters has he beat? I can only think of a washed up Joppy.

To be honest, I was very surprised of GBP singing Mundine. He's definitely on the decline, rematch with Green or fight vs. Bika would only make sense in Australia, the Sturm fight would be in Germany and he has no star power anywhere, he's just an *******. Excellent fighter in his best days, but those days are over.

    What was Golden Boy thinking?

The Cobra is his biggest supporter. I am more of a Haye fanboy.

Against which opponent did Mundine show us he was an excellent fighter?

2nd Soliman fight, for example. Compare that to Winky's performance vs. Soliman. That's a beginning.

Not sure mate, at times against Kessler - Mundine looked too quick, but
other times overrawed, like I said, I believe that fight was too soon..

Then when he shouldve been chasing Kessler again - or tryng for
quality match ups, instead he was fighting bums, the guys a tool, no
doubting that - but in his prime, he had the talent to at least warrant
a signing by the likes of Golden Boy..

But, he is no longer in his prime, im baffled why they would sign him
at this point in his career..
