If Manny can beat Cotto at any weight...why does he ALWAYS demand a catchweight?

The guy he fought first at 147 was unranked. Pac had only had 1 fight above 130, at 135, and no intention of moving to welter. Beating DLH didn't earn him a belt, nor did it make him a welter.

Here's much more egregious examples, if this bothers you:

1. Cotto was the champ at 154 when requesting 150 vs a one eyed bum
2. Floyd is a 2x super welter champ unwilling to fight his best challenger Sergio at 154, he said he might entertain 150. In fact seems like he'll only fight fellow blown up welters at 154, or Canelo who's an honorary welter, cause he only fights them (or jr welters)

I got a few more when you digest these

No rehydration clause there. And at 153 my bad. So Manny should tell Cotto 153 as he saw him fight at 153 with Margarito. That would be like Manny told Floyd in the first negotiations when Floyd caught a video of him at 24 days for the Hatton fight, and then he only agreed to the 24 days after that. lmfao.

So do the fight at 153, a catchweight, with NO REHYDRATION CLAUSE AS MARGARITO-COTTO DOES NOT AND DID NOT HAVE ONE, NOR DOES YOUR ARTICLE SUPPORT THAT IT DOES..ONLY THAT ONE WAS REQUESTED and DID NOT GO THROUGH...

So .... Pac's big enough for a 147 pound non-title bout but too small for a 147 pound title bout, then suddenly big enough for 147 pound bouts again?

You still can't possibly rationalize the fact that Pac fought at 147 before Cotto, and after Cotto, yet wanted a catchweight for Cotto any way other than: because it gained him an advantage.

Trying to change the subject is a sign of surrender.

Cotto wanted a Margarito rematch at a catch weight, so why is Cotto allowed to request it and Not Pacquiao? I bet if Floyd offered him a rematch at 150 he would jump on it...

Do you know these things called "hyperlinks" you can click on? Can be informative sometimes. Let me help you out:

http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/6921196/miguel-cotto-wrangles-catchweight-antonio-margarito

According to Sergio Diaz, Margarito's co-manager, the camps had agreed to fight when Cotto insisted on making the bout at 150 pounds with the stipulation of a weight check on the day of the fight, for which the fighters could not exceed 160 pounds.

They fought at 153. I give a damn about anything happening in negotiations. 153 was the weight. Manny should have requested that 153 weight.

You don't read it all do you dummy.:patsch

We weren't going to do 150 or 152 or a next-day weigh-in. Enough with the demands. Bob finally came back at 153 and no next-day weigh-in. I spoke to Tony and he said, 'Let's do it.' We have the paperwork and everything is all done. He will be putting his signature on it soon."

Read it before you post. What happened in negotiations is not relevant when going to new negotiations. What he officially fought him at, 153, is more relevant and has much more meaning.

How am I trying to change the subject? I'm answering your question and providing some context.

Of course it wasn't obvious he was big enough for welter, he was big enough to get knocked out by the much bigger guy for 5 times his biggest purse. Or so everyone thought, including probably you. You think Josesito is big enough for super welter?

Read the post you first responded to, jackass. I was very explicit that this was Cotto's request. Did he request it cause he likes being drained?

Yes I know "jackass." I saw your post. Whatever the case, it doesn't matter when going into new negotiations with a different fighter. He could have used that for leverage on something else. What matters is the "153" weight they agreed on , "jackass.":!:

Whatever the reason is, Cotto requested 150 for a one eyed bum. Either he's not drained there, or he has no respect for his own body. If that's the case, how can he expect more from Pac?
