If Manny & Floyd wait too long to fight, who will it affect more age wise?

Floyd can lose more of his foot speed, but I believe his boxing ability will aid him very much as he gets older.

Manny on the other hand, can probably improve a bit more, but might not have the same speed he has now as he gets older.

Assuming this fight takes place that is.

Pac might get worn out if this fight doesn't happen by next year. If this fight ends up happening after floyd 2 years vacation then pac by then might not be the same because he is a warrior. By then pac would have fought Paul Williams-Sergio Martinez and Kelly Pavlik at a catch weight.

Warrior pac would be damage goods by then while floyd will be coming back after a 2 years vacation and a tune up vs ivan calderon.

Lol well although Pac is a warrior, I don't think he'll be damaged goods, because he's been whooping people and hasn't been in a brawl since the Morales fight.

    Lol

I think it would affect pac more because he relies on his speed to beat his opponent. If this fight doesn't happen until let's say 2012-2013 when floyd comes out of his retirement to duck a prime pacquiao then he should have the advantage. Yes he would be older too but he doesn't rely much on his speed but more of his defense plus he's not worn out due to his style.

PAc has been in too many brawl and is about to fight another brawler margarito. Who knows how long he can last fighting boxers much bigger than him. So to answer your question it will affect pac more than mayweather.

Yeah, Floyd taking 3 years off from boxing would affect him less than Pac being active in that period.:patsch

    Floyd.

Almost 35 if i'm thinking right, has been incredibly inactive for a championship level fighter, and uses a fast, reflex-based style.

Reflexes and speed fade as you get older, so fighters have to rely more on intellect and strength to continue to compete in the top level of the sport. Since it comes down to mind vs brawn I would definitely lean towards mind over brawn.

IF we go by the numbers put up by older athletes we know were on Steroids.........

Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens were putting up numbers that were better than what they were in their youthful prime years......
They were doing things in their late 30's that ballplayers before them had never done before.

Going by that, I would say tha the more the fight is put off, the more it benefits the PED user.

Excellent. Floyd isn't Roy Jones, but good part of his style is made up on speed.
