If Manny & Floyd wait too long to fight, who will it affect more age wise?

    Dont kid yourself.

Whether you like him or hate him, there is no denying that Mayweather is a complete fighter both offensively and defensively.

Of course speed and reflex benefits him as it does most any fighter, including Pacquiao......

......however, Mayweather is the type that can lose some speed and defense and still make up for it in other ways.
His skill and defense would compensate for his loss in speed so that he could keep competing at a high level.

Calm down. I remember making a thread a long time ago about how much of Floyd's style is based off of speed. People acted like his style completely didn't rely on speed at all.

Pac definately as pac has been thru wars and has taken a lot of punishment throughout his carreer compared to floyd. All these hard fights take their tole on the body quicker, floyds defense keeps him in the game longer.

Of course if you lose speed you're not quite as good without it.
......what I'm saying is that Mayweather would still be an exellent fighter even with less speed.
......not quite the same fighter of course, but still being able to compete at a high level.

Mayweather like Roy Jones is not going to fall to pieces because he's lost some speed and reflex.
Mayweather's skill and defense is far superior to Jones that he would be able to compensate for that loss in speed to still compete at a high level.

The funny part about this thread is that anyone who watches boxing on a regular basis knows the answer to this question. Dudes with an "exciting style" don't age well. Pure boxers usually do. Especially those that rely more on slick stationary fighting versus movement based footwork.

The even FUNNIER part about this is that a few years back we were asking ourselves had the years caught up to Manny due to his looking blah in fights. He was mortal.

The FUNNIEST part is that he MAGICALLY became rejuvenated and is blasting out bigger fighters and some who haven't been in half of the wars he has. He looks better now than he did in his prime!

All jokes aside, what is your real question?

Fighters with Pacman style don't fight very long or at elite level for a long period of time. Floyd, is very young in terms of his body is concern cause he never takes punishment and stays in shape year around.

Pac fought the 3 amigos (Barrera, Morales, JMM) a total of 7x, then add Cotto, Hatton, Hoya, and Clottey who are all bigger than him. You wonder why Pac is still fighting today.

I say Floyd. Pacman is a phenom. He's already done things that no human should be able to do. So i'm going to assume that he will be at this level for some time. Floyd, on the other hand, relies so much on his amazing reflexes to generate both his offense (leaping left hook, straight right hand) AND avoid punches. What happens when some of that erodes?

Also, Pacman is nearly 2 years younger (22 months younger). That also has to play a factor.

Floyd obviously. He's older and he relies on his speed and athleticism just as much as manny does. Floyd has already started to slow down a little. Manny is at his peak. A couple years in boxing can change everything though, that's why the fight has to happen now. Floyd's ****ing over boxing fans by ignoring this fight. Imagine what can happen in 1 or 2 years. Margarito could pull an upset, you never know. Say goodbye to the superfight.

Yes, Margarito is a dangerous fighter for anyone. He did not train for the Mosley fight and his fight Vs. Pac could be a real war. He could win and if he were to win, that fight fans want to see will be gone. Void wants Pac to lose the fight so the pressure will get off him. Foreman was correct, Void is scared.

Who will be affected more? 2 years of fighting and 2 years of vacation. Vacation would give you ring rust while fighting would damage you physically. After vacation, Floyd will have another tune up fight against a chosen lucky featherweight, while Pac will fight another middleweight at a catchweight of 151. It's not rocket science, really.

I would call you a lot of names for propagating the lies of a duck but, since your avatar looks to be one of the greatest QB's to ever wear Silver & Black....
