If Manny & Floyd wait too long to fight, who will it affect more age wise?

Most likely Floyd. Manny's training regimen is probably keep him in shape and stronger. Not saying that Floyd's training isn't hard but IMO Manny's training is much hardcore than Floyd's training.

Magically rejuvenated, No. Fighting in his best weight, Yes.
Before, he had to starve himself, now he's starving his opponent. LOL.

He is still in his prime now, when did you see him faded or past his prime? In his JMM fights? Pac is not faded during those times, JMM is just THAT good.

I don't get your logic, was it the number of fights or was it the quality of opposition? Choose your answer wisely or you might end up giving Pac some props.

    * If it was the number of fights, well, I could name a lot of boxer which had more fights than him.
    * If you say quality of opposition, then I would have to dig some old threads that criticizes Pac's resume.

Actually the funniest part is a typical ******* vs ***** debate that goes something like:

    *****: Pac is on PED.
    *******: What is your proof?
*****: Pac is magically rejuvenated (quoted from bald_head_slick) and is knocking out bigger guys like DLH, Hatton, Cotto and Clottey (quoted from LastQuark). It's unnatural and he couldn't have done it without cheating.

    Meanwhile, on another thread:

*******: Pac is greater than Floyd! He has better oppositions. He's proven a lot of doubters wrong by beating guys bigger and stronger than him.
*****: DLH? He was drained. Hatton? He's tailor made. Cotto? Drained also. Clottey? Fight is fixed.

Damn, I'm confused. What is the proof that Pac is on PEDs again?

Any boxing style that relies heavily on speed and reflexes, be it counterpunching, roy jones unorthodox clowning, tyson's swarming, or ali's dancing, will be the first to go.

forget brawls it will come down to wear and tear, Pac is already 15 (?) fights ahead of PBF, the amount of training camps is going to catch up eventually.

If Pac shows sign of aging during the Margo fight, expect PBF vs Pac in 2011.

I have absolutely no foundation for my opinion on this subject other than how i've interpreted fighters who somewhat mirror their styles and their aging processes. logic would probably dictate that given manny's come forward style, he's more likely to take the punishment that would accelerate any sort of physical and/or mental deterioration. however, one could easily assert that given floyd's dependence upon lightning quick defensive movements that serve as the gateway to his offense, his style is more susceptible to the degenerative grip of age. it's an interesting question. I guess we'll have to wait and see, and continue hoping the two fighters don't delay their meeting to a point where age can even be considered a viable factor, if they have a meeting at all.

if floyd doesn't ante up - and that seems to be the problem...it will hurt pac more than floyd the longer this goes on.

a skilled defensive fighter will usually have more longevity than a skilled offensive fighter because an offensive fighter leaves his dick hanging out in the wind - and relies on his pressure style of fighting to win fights.

a fraction of a second hurts a fighter like that more than a fighter like floyd or hopkins who are skilled boxers, savvy and solid defensive fighters.

The longer this drags, the more it'll favour Floyd.

Pac's got an awful habit of commiting himself to wars, and the more of them he has, the more he'll deteriorate. Floyd on the hand is smart enough to prolong his career by sticking with his safety first approach, and not strain himself physically. Not to mention the basic fundamentals he holds as a boxer, which are essential qualities you need in the latter part of your career.

I think time makes the fight worse, because I think both of them would be effective an equal amount.

If you don't know yet you must be somewhere else.

As for the topic, Pac may be always at war but then he's younger. So I say just about even.

Well moron, you're still somewhere if you don't get it.

Using your argument, how the **** did you come to that conclusion? Based on what?

the only one whos waiting here is Mayweather..

also Pacs Fighting Style Doesnt go Hand in Hand w/ Age (sorta like RJJ)

but then again not much can be done when one fighter refuses to fight the other

Skills are the last thing that will leave you as a fighter. So Floyd should have the advantage given he's working with a more polished and technical skill set where Manny's DYNAMICS and offensive abilities are above everyone else based on his natrual gifts!
