Canelo does not make the casual fan (who make up 90-95% of the ppv buys) buy fights man. His presence does not boost anything with Floyd's PPV's lol. I'm simply telling you that Bradley has appeared in more mainstream cards than Saul. Bradley headlined HBO cards, Showtime cards, ESPN more often in his career. You are formulating an opinion with nothing to back it. They aren't going to use "well Saul was on your undercard," in negotiations man. LOL Deal with the numbers bro, they are what they are and if Floyd is doing so much more revenue (which he is) than Manny that he can afford to put bigger fighters on his card than thats a plus to Floyd and what he can do and a negative to Manny and what he can do. So the numbers are what they are. You can twist em, turn em, add or take away fighters, but to do so is twisting the numbers. I post numbers which are non bias.
How many PPV buys did Canelo do this weekend? Why do you think Floyd likes fighting on Mexican Holidays? Who do you think buy most of the PPVs?
Canelo was not on a PPV. Please know your facts before you post. Ok well Floyd fought Oscar on a mexican holiday and he fought JMM on a mexican holiday and did over 1 million. So again, go look at the numbers and deal with em. Cuz for now your just talkin out your ass. The numbers are what they are man...sorry they show the truth you don't like that but it is what it is as we say in the Marines.:deal
Like I said, certain individuals will try and "twist and turn" the numbers. They are what they are. I could care less about your story behind them, as they are what they are. Manny has also fought on Cinco De Mayo weekend and he did not put up more with Shane or with Hatton.
Casual fans don't buy fights for undercards and they make up more buys than hardcore fans. 90-95% is casual, and only about 5-10% is hardcore fans. Marquez got 100 thousand ppv buys when he fought Casamayor. Those were almost all hardcore fans, not casual fans as Marquez alone does not appeal to the casual fan...more so now than in 2008 though.
So having another PPV star on your undercard, who happens to be a huge Mexican star and the fight being on a Mexican Holiday, has no effect on your PPV numbers?:silly
It's a guestimate. I have no support on that really ( I admit when I have little support on something where as *******s just keep ranting on). I would say about 1 out of every 15 friends of mine is a hardcore fan. When it comes to my co workers that number drops to about 1 in 50 and they always show up to my place for the parties. I never said it had 0 effect on anything either. Tim Bradley has headlined more cards than Canelo too. My friends watch NFL, NBA, and even MLB like crazy but only follow mainstream names in boxing.
It is irrelevant bro. When they break the numbers down they aren't going to say "well you had Canelo on the Ortiz and Cotto undercards. Just as Team Pac can argue that point, Team Mayweather can argue that Bradley had more exposure on TV etc...So again, that is void. What matters is the numbers and again, that's a positive on Floyd if he can get a star on his card. It helps him in negotiations man, it don't hurt him. So again, you can twist the numbers how you would like but they are what they are.
I also use ppv fight numbers from lesser known fighters such as Marquez Casamayor (at the time), where 100K seems like it's about every hardcore fan. The casuals probably hardly bought this fight.
Who had the larget fanbase? Bradley or Canelo Floyd having Canelo on the Cotto card would be the equivelent of Arum puttin Chavez on the undercard of Bradley vs Pacquiao and it being on a Mexican Holiday. Look how many PPV buys Canelo had this weekend against Lopez. Mosley would have gotten him more.
It's irrelevant. CANELO WAS NOT ON A PPV EITHER AND HE NEVER HAS HEADLINED.:rofl:roflatsch Bro, keep arguing but you haven't done anything to discredit the numbers. So again, your using your opinion on someone and I'm using mine when it comes to Canelo and Bradley. There are 0 FACTS. Bro, I know you hate the truth but deal with it. The numbers are what they are. They aren't going to take anything away from the numbers in the negotiations so why do you take away from them here. Oscar and Richard will not let an undercard fighter determine anything bro. You all butthurt huh....all good..Can't argue with someone who doesn't know the facts as you just don't bring correct info to the debate.
You have admitted that Canelo's presence on the cards made a difference. I think he added around 200k to the numbers.
LOL. I have admitted that both have but nothing to put a dent in anything. Well then I say that Bradley gave 150k to the numbers. LOL you haven't proven anything and you showed that you don't have the facts to back up anything your saying. This is done bro. You lost, but try on the next one. Numbers are what they are.
Pacquiao never signed the contract. Mayweather signed it and had Golden boy send to Top Rank for Pacquiao to sign but Pacquiao refused the testing. The testing wasn't a roadblock, both fighters had a clause they wanted in the contract, Mayweather wanted testing while Pacquiao wanted a larger weight penalty. How on earth can testing be a road block if Mayweather had no idea Pacquiao would turn it down ???
