He never actually signed it. The contract got sent to Pacquiao on December 11th 2009 and he declined it because he refused to do the Drug testing. He never signed it.

  3. So Pacquiao said he signed it, Roach said he signed it, another source said he signed it, and all the media agree that he signed it.

    But you say he didn't.

I know which story i'm going with.

You idiot, How could he have signed the Contract when he refused the Testing that was in the Contract ??? Lmao. I can't believe your guillable, just because Manny camp claim they signed it doesn't mean anything. The only Media source that claimed he signed it was that Espn article. That article was just based on what Arum said. For Pacquiao to have signed the contract he would have had to agree on the testing which he wouldn't do. Notice how the date of that article was December 7th, the contract got sent to Pacquiao camp on the December 11th. So how could Pacquiao sign a contract he hadn't received ???:lol::patsch

  6. Terms were talked about, the were negotiated, then agreed in principal. Pacquiao goes away with the contract, signs it.

Mayweather then bring up the blood testing issue and adds it to the contract.

And that is what Pacquiao does not sign.

  8. Pacquiao signed the contract, Mayweather added further stips (blood tests) once this had happened.

Pacquiao never signed a Contract at any stage. Pacquiao even admits Never signing a contract.

FanHouse: Did you officially sign the contract?

Manny Pacquiao: No, because there are still some things that need to be negotiated. That would be premature and foolish. Nobody ever brought us a contract to sign. We agreed to everything in principle, but there are still some finer points that need to be negotiated.

No he didn't because there was no contract to sign a couple days later. A couple of days later he requested a weight penalty. He never signed the contract.

Fearing that Floyd Mayweather may make a mockery of the agreed welterweight limit of 147 lbs on March 13, 2010, Manny Pacquiao’s camp is making sure the flashy American fighter is going to play by the rules.

“Our concern is that Floyd might come in at 150 lbs during the official weighin (on the eve of the fight),” said Pacquiao lawyer Franklin Gacal on Monday when asked about the measures the Filipino star is undertaking to guarantee that he doesn’t end up getting the raw end of the deal.

While Gacal acknowledges the fact that contracts have yet to be signed, a clause must be included in the contract that will penalize Mayweather in case he exceeds the agreed weight limit.

"Of course, we will not let this pass,” said Gacal, noting that a penalty of not lower than $1 million per pound will be slapped in excess of 147 lbs against Mayweather. “We will put that particular provision in the contract.”

When Mayweather fought Juan Manuel Marquez last September, he didn’t mind shelling out thousands of dollars after he could not meet the agreed weight of 144 lbs as he tipped the scales at 146.

In the end, Mayweather was forced to cough up a total of $600,000 as every pound cost him $300,000.

Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum is now back in the US after conferring with Pacquiao last week and a meeting with Golden Boy Promotions (GBP) Chief Executive Officer Richard Schaefer is set for Monday. Schaefer has been given the authority to represent Mayweather in the negotiations.
