"According to the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA), 47% of all Filipino households have access to television sets."

    that's 47 million tv sets.

WTF was this thread all about?

Last Pac fight I watched in the Philippines was that ****ing Pac-Margo, and it was 500 pesos per person on a cinema.

    1 dollar=42 pesos.

    That's almost 12 USD ffs!

And PPV sales are counted in US only. not in UK, Pi, Mexico or in ****ing Kenya!

people back in the PH would rather watch the delayed telecast with long-ass commercials than the PPV they could buy, understandably. same with the donaire fights.

Could the average citizen there afford the kind of PPV prices Americans pay? Highly doubt it. It'd probably be shown in public places, large gatherings etc. So there wouldn't be huge PPV numbers.

The Phillippines is a perfect example what happens when corruption in government gets out of hand. I've been there and its very sad. No middle class at all. That why I try to wake people up of whats going on here in the USA. The middle class in under attack while the rich and our government lives the high life. One good thing is the people are getting fed up here. I was at the court house yesterday and there was a line out the door of people getting gun permits.
