Let's state the obvious first off, he'd have to, wouldn't he? The tentative, Canelo-like gameplan of trying to out-think Floyd was 100% the wrong approach. I'm still somewhat shocked that's what Freddie Roach came up with. Floyd out-throwing Manny is just bogus. That's the most surprising revelation from that fight, I feel. I always thought Floyd would be more accurate and maybe even land more, but to out-throw, that's insane. Hindsight is wonderful of course, but wouldn't throwing 700+ punches at least have worked better? Yes, he would have been open to more counters but Manny still won four rounds in my scorecard (had it 116-112) with a cautious approach. I should also note that I thought Floyd would win the fight. Was impressed with his ring generalship, footwork and speed. He did run a bit too much for my liking, but that's his style as we all know. If anything, bottom line for me, I was disappointed with Manny. Injury or not, there had to more in the tank than he showed.
