I will admit that Pacquiao was the better fighter, and deserves a higher spot on the ATG list. Will Pacquiao fans do the same if Floyd wins? Or will they make more excuses than a pregnant nun?
You have no choice but have to admit it, mayweather has never lost and is the p4p number 1 fighter so Pac winning here would be great.
That's not the question. You're a pac fan, so will you give Floyd the credit, yes or no, and admit Floyd has always been the better fighter?
They are already making excuses to why Manny will lose after the fight theories will come up like Manny had cramps, picked the wrong socks or whatever. I have yet to see a confident Pacquiao fan. They are all saying Pacquiao will win BUT he is old, shot, not the same, Floyd is roiding and so on just in case if/when he loses they will say he only lost because of the things we pointed out.
Even if Manny wins by KO1, it doesn't prove he's the better fighter and vise versa. Only that he was the better fighter on the night. What a Pac win would prove is what everyone knows already, that you can't claim to be the best if you don't face the best challengers, and a 0 doesn't mean much either. If you can pick your own fights, under your conditions, at the place and the time you want it, you can't 100% claim to be the best. Real greats fought the best opposition that was there at the time and all over the world in different conditions. Those guys were called "World Champions".
It will still be debated one way or the other and depending on what you favor, perhaps both arguments can appeal in different ways.
Agreed with the last parts. But the reality is the public perception in this is if floyd loses people will put Pac ahead of him(excluding those who don't put him ahead already) That's just the way it is especially how the public feel Mayweather was running from him.
dafuq? Manny is higher on the ATG list win or lose this fight. but if Manny lost, i'll be the first to say that Mayweather's the better fighter. he's not gonna lose though. :good
Two respectable people can look at the same boxing resume and value certain things about it differently. Is that some revolutionary or controversial concept for you?
The "public" doesn't know anything about either fighter to have a discussion or opinion. The average sports fan in America, at least, knows nothing about boxing. Quite literally nothing.
