Tell your buddies to put a bit more effort in then. Poor Tony Thompson can't help being The Man of American heavyweight boxing.
Whould it not be fair to say what your arguing against here is the exact same thing you supported during the 'super 6' competition?
Umm.. that's the whole point.. http://www.boxinginsider.com/headli...-may-fall-apart-over-slave-terms-of-contract/ It's a 3 fight deal, but the 2nd and 3rd fights are NOT for a 'Champion Purse'. As for granting the Champion a re-match, surely the Champion should be granted the re-match first? Though it looks like Wach vs. Wlad is now back on.
I saw his match with Beck. I feel it's very unlikely Charr will win. Charr just doesn't have the physical attribute to match up with Vitale and the only scenario I see him winning is if Vitale's knees totally collapses like during Adamek fight.
Haye only wants to fight for the title he doesn't really care who holds it. I'm sure Haye would be begging to fight Charr and Charr already said Haye is next.
I said before that boxing is a business and that fighters sign these contracts going into them with their eyes wide open. That does not mean the whole thing is unsavory, Don king back in the day used to put a stipulation that if you wanted a shot at the champ that he would have options on you next few fights. Then King would go on to steal as much money from that Champ until the next guy came along. Boxing is a business. business can be unethical and leave a bad taste in your mouth. It is a bit of a ***** move and I can understand people condemning the practice.
Sorry, that isn't going to happen Charr is now an HBO fighter and they have banned Haye after his boring and disgraceful performance against Wlad. You won't be seeing David Haye on HBO again.
