I want to know how that has any bearing involving the Margarito case. It still doesn't change the fact that Margarito tried to cheat.

It has not much bearing on the Margarito case. It has great bearing on Mosley, his career, and his legacy. Mosley has knocked out Margarito and wont be fighting him again. Mosley is concerned with Mosley right now.

A veteran trainer that let the first knucklepad on Margarito's right hand get by him as well.....

If Capetillo knowingly cheated, then its possible that its been done before in states where commisions let the fighters bring their own gauze and tape.

.......Nevada btw, where the Margarito beatdown of Miguel Cotto took place, is not one of them!:deal

Bribery in a case of handwrapping I believe would be futile.......
......if you bribe the inspector, you'd have to bribe the appointee from the other team that would be their as well......in this case it was Richardson.

None of the Margarito bashers have ever explained why in the hell would Capetillo knowingly insert something illegal in the knucklepads, knowing that Richardson was nitpicking with the way Margarito's hands were being wrapped from the beggining.

A complete moron would know better and leave their cheat knucklepads in their bag, knowing that Richardsons was on top of every freaking piece of tape being placed.

It just does'nt make any sense that Capetillo knowingly and willingly placed those knucklepads with the intention to cheat, knowing Richardson was right there on top of them objecting to the way he was going about wrapping Margarito's hands from the very beggining of the hand wrapping process.

True he didn't feel the right hand because they changed it two times because of the way they were wrapping it. It was the left hand where Nazim became curious and began to feel it. Which shows that the attempt at cheating was well hidden. If it took that type of circumstance to discover his cheating. Imagine how many times he's gotten away with it.

So your saying Margarito cheated everywhere else except Nevada okay got ya:good

:lol::lol:Thats not what I'm saying, but yes, if Capetillo purposely cheated, which can never be proven, absolutely he would have done so in states where fighters are allowed to use their own gauze and tape.

In fairness to Margarito's legal counsel, they went into that hearing not knowing what exactly the accusation of wrongdoing was......they only knew that they were being accused of plastering their wraps, which they knew was bogus.....

....when its brought to them that it was an insert in the knucklepad, its the first they heard of it, and Capetillo realized right when he was shown the knucklepad in question, the mistake that he'd made.

There is likely to be a second hearing when the lab results are in, and you can bet that Margarito's legal counsel will be more than prepared to disect the CSAC limb from limb!

You can be that the CSAS will try to avoid that second hearing if at all possible and make things right without the presence of a hearing.......

.....sort of settlling out of court if you will!:yep:lol:

You have some good threads and are a smart poster....I believe you know the answer....you are simply provoking the Margie defenders.

I agree with you....I even think Margie is in some hot water....the prosecutor is still going after Margie for some jail time and Capetillo.

I agree that Team Margarito was caught trying to cheat.

I agree that the prosecutor should go into deeper details and investigation and if they come up with conclusive evidence that they are guilty of using that same illegal insert in the past . . . should go for the maximum punishment. After all other fighters lives where placed at risk

. . . but I disagree that Walk with Me is a smart poster. It's either he is an IDIOT or simply a HATER. :yep

. . . he already flooded this forum with his own FACTS and JUDGEMENT while the California Athletic Commission is still investigating and gathering the facts. :deal

I'm not going to read through this thread. I sat about 10 feet from Arum as he was interviewed Friday night. This is what he had to say. Margarito was cleared but was suspended since he is responsible for the action as team head. Arum disputes this as 'not legal', but I don't know if 'legal' enters into it. The commission may operate by rules, not laws. I just don't know myself. I know Arthur Abraham was fined for the actions of his brother in the ring after the Miranda fight using the same argument.

But that is how Margarito could be found "innocent" and still be suspended according to Arum.
