There is a reason Floyd will not fight Margarito I mean lets just be straight, FLoyd fans argue, the man is Too wide with his shots its an easy fight for Floyd, he is too slow he telegraphs his shots, he has 5 losses.

All that has been said there by Floyd fans are exactly what it takes for Floyd to fight someone much like Baldimor much like DLH and the rest of the bums he has fought, so why suddenly since Margarito seems to fit that bill wont Floyd take such an easy fight?

Cintron is a bum. He was scared of Margarito. He was never a top ww. Cotto is an ex jww, and did AM really beat Clottey. Yeah, Floyd fought Baldomir at ww who was the undisputed ww champion. AM has fought his whole career at ww, and his best win is over an ex jww lol. Floyd has fought in multiple weight classes. Floyd has fought the best, and he is coming back. AM is nothing but a bully to the smaller fighters. Tell the gooch to rematch Williams.

Floyd didn't fight AM because he saw no money in it, 5 losses won't make a super fight, and he saw an easy win. AM isn't anything special. Arun made him special when he smeared Floyd because Floyd left him lol.

Floyd was king of the bizarre 'Junior WW sub division' within the real WW division,if you follow(Floyd,Judah,Hatton,Gatti,Mitchell..),but not king of the REAL welters for me(no Baldo doesnt count, though they will tell you that he does:roll:)

There was the same money in the Margarito fight as there was in the baldimor fight, the only difference is the Margarito fight might have actually earned Floyd some respect.

Who is Floyd comming back to fight:think Roach clearly stated they are not fighting Floyd at any weight so whats out there for Floyd? nothing a rematch with Hatton? Wow I am sure that will blow up your skirt, to a real fight fan a rematch with Hatton only further proves the coward Floyd is.

Floyd is not comming back he stated he wanted to but now that the meal ticket he is after has no interest he has no other choice but to go back in his hole, the public will simply demand that Floyd chose Margarito since Pacquiao isnt there for him, and Floyd doesnt want to hear that from you all his own fans, he doesnt want to have to prove to his fans the fraud he really is, put it to you simple, Floyd is comfortable exactly the way things are.

This is ******ed. If Margarito can make the 147lb. limit then of course he is a ww. Could he move up a division? Sure, but he wouldn't be as effective and the ww division is the deepest by far with more fights and more money to be made.

no the only difference is that Baldomire had the WBC belt and was considered lineal champ. Where as margarito had nothing..

:deal **** Margo and him picking on smaller fighters tell that ***** to rematch his papa Williams or his step-daddy Santos. Until he does and proves he can beat people his own size he's a weight draining ***** in my book.

Baldo does count the man was the linear champ at 147. Who are you to change history and say that it doesn't count? That's just how you Margo lovers roll, discredit anyone and anything to further your agenda to prop up Margo and discredit PBF. It doesn't work that way. Baldo is a former linear champ at 147 he beat who was infront of him like everyone else before him it's in the record books deal with it. I didn't like Mayorga when he was linear champ at 147 but you'll never hear me say it didn't count when he was champ...pathetic.

    Exactly, I agree.

There is too much emphasis put on weight and I think it's just an excuse so that they can downgrade a fighters achievements...

If Margarito can make 147 without being weight drained then he is a WW.

Look how many fighters make the weight and gain lots of weight on the night of the fight

    EVERY FIGHTER DOES IT

So I dont understand why so much emphasis is put on the weight.

    Get over it

Margarito is just taller so his limbs are heavier but like Paul Williams if they can make the weight then they are legitimate WW's...

I doubt that we will ever see Floyd vs Margarito,

even though Floyd told Margarito to his face that they would fight down the line...

    Source is online (Video)

If Floyd himself thought that the fight was going to be a walk in the park
Then we would have already seen this fight by now.

Floyd is retired and Im probably sure that he is very comfortable with his children and missis so for him to step out of retirement to fight a guy like Margarito or even a Cotto would definetly require him to take at least 1 if not 2 warm up fights before considering those fights.

If he comes back just like that,
it's not going to be against somebody as tough as Margarito or a Cotto because he knows he couldn't take the chance against guys like that simply because of things like hand injuries during a fight
with big pressure type fighters who are relentless and dont stop coming forward, throwing good shots and with good power in either hand.

I honestly can see him sustaining some type of hand injury in the ring against those big guys, like similar to when he fought Baldomir because he is so accurate and he would have to be hitting real hard to keep those guys off him all night and with my own ring experiences I know that feeling when your hand decides to call it a day.

Your then limited and fighting a pressure fighter who can actually mix up the punches from all angles your giving yourself a mountain to climb.

He knows that his body can get damaged too from the constant attacks to the body that Margarito and Cotto can dish out and I think that he just cannot bring himself to the point of having to prove his worth to the boxing world or to risk it all in a real fight fans type of fight against the fighters the real boxing fans are calling for...

I doubt boxing fans will ever see this fight or even if we will ever see Mayweather again but if we ever do I would like it to happen sooner rather than later so no excuses can be brought up after fight time...:good

    No
there's no chance (IMO) of Margarito beating PBF, but if he didn't, it sure as hell won't be by TKO.

Add to that, no he's not the best welterweight of this era ... I would rate Zab Judah, Corey Spinks, Tito Trinidad, DLH, Vernon Forrest, Shane Mosley, and Ike Quartey over Margarito. oh and Add Daniel Santos, Paul Williams, and PBF (win or lose) ahead of Margarito.

As of right now Floyd is retired...Paul Williams is the best WW in the world...He took Tony's belt...If Floyd came back and whooped on Tony and didn't re-retire than I feel It would be between Floyd and Paul for the best...Tony is #2...he better beat Shane otherwise I'd put him down to #4 if he loses....Paul is the best though..PW beat Tony 8rounds to 4 rounds and when I saw that last round the other day it made me understand why Tony turned down 4 million to fight Paul again...
