I'm not muttering nothing, just pointing out that if a slow Margarito landed 22% (Which i didn't see was a huge percentage in terms of punches connected) Floyd could have a easy night since he's far superior in terms of accuracy & speed.

Okay since you want to bring up numbers, what percentage did Castillo land on Floyd in the first fight? and how many of them were power shots?:think

Um 22% is pretty low, probably a lot lower than average than punches landed against Shane.

But yes I dont think Mayweather will have a hard time landing on him, it just has little to do with the Margo fight. Shanes defense in that fight was exceptional

Margarito didn't land much of note upstairs other than some jabs. He did some decent bodywork here and there but nothing really big. Margarito threw more looping shots and Floyd most certainly will throw straighter shots.

Mayweather has a tendency to keep his hands low, trying to sucker opponents in and hoping they will jab, then he'll come over with the pull-counter right hand. He seems to do this more often against shorter guys with shorter reaches, so I assume he'll have his hands up more against the taller, rangier Mosley (such as he did against DLH and other guys whose power he respected). I'll throw out the Wright fight as he is a big southpaw, but nice jabs from orthodox fighters have frustrated Mosley and disrupted his rhythms (as jabs are supposed to do). Mayweather has a good jab although it is sometimes underused, and his accurate straight right will of course be important. Mosley will look to land that looping overhand right, one of his best punches. The one punch that Marquez did land with a bit of frequency (I use this word very liberally as it was frequent only compared to his other punches) was the overhand right. Mayweather is great at nullifying his opponent's best punch, but in this case, there's two really dangerous punches that Mayweather has to look out for. The overhand right and left hook.

I wonder if Mosley will turn southpaw at times, as I've seen him do a few times in the past, to give a different look.

    Compubox means **** all.

There's plenty of ways to discuss Mayweather's advantages in this fight without using a meaningless, inaccurate system.

That's not comparable, it's actually a stupid comparison, that was 10 years ago, I'm judging off the last fight, something that shows you their current ability.

Margo got ko'd in case you forgot. Castillo landed 40% of his punches on Floyd. Floyd supposedly had a bad shoulder, he had leg problems too? Castillo landed 203 of 506 punches to Floyd's 157 of 448. That's 46 punches almost 50 punches landed the difference! R u suggesting Castillo needed to be fast or faster than Mosley to beat Floyd? GTFO.

Another thing. Shane has been outboxed, but never dominated. He was outboxed by Forrest, Winky, Cotto, and Oscar in the rematch. Floyd isn't dominating Shane. Floyd is going to have to eat Shane's best shots in order to beat him.

I've not said anything about Mosley offensive aspect, I've said it can cause Floyd problems.

It's stupid to bring up stats when a boxer is injured, 2nd fight pretty much proved it but Castillio should've won the first fight.

This is about Mosley defense, your getting confused.

Forrest pretty much dominated Mosley in their first fights. Forrest won what, 10, 11 rounds? Dropping him twice in the 2nd and badly hurting him again in the 10th, with body shots.

Nuff said!!!!! That is exactly how this fight is going to play out. IMHO, PBF will play safety first and not engaged in any type of exchange with Shane, if he does I will give him mad props. :good

22% is not really a big number. Not to mention that Margarito only threw a couple of punches.

22% means he missed an awful lot. you're talking about a guy who generally throws 100+ punches a round. he wasn't throwing that many against mosley because he was getting countered all the time and getting his ass whooped, but he still missed a lot.

the more floyd throws at mosley the better mosley's chances are. mayweather knows he's not going to damage mosley and he obviously doesn't want to get hit, so i'm not expecting him to throw a whole lot.
