    Did you read it Jack?

I would be interested to know the findings on specifically why it would hinder a fighters own performance.

I would guess that if there was too much of the plaster mix, the wrap would be too hard and actually hurt the punching fighters own hands more than it would hurt the opponent on the recieving end of the punch......afterall, the actual gloves pad the plastered wraps, but you dont have much padding on your hands between the plaster and your own hands.

If there was enough plaster in the wraps, I certainly could see where it can destroy or even break a fighters own hands as he punched.

Yup. Innocent until proven guilty. The only evidence of any malfeasance by Margarito is in the Mosley fight, and as you note, even that isn't what people portray it as. And even if he had actual plaster in his wraps in that fight, it proves NOTHING about any other fight.

This is true but in Resto's case the padding in the knuckle areas of the gloves were removed thus allowing him to directly hit Collins with plaster. I also believe the entire handwrap of Resto was dipped in plaster adding mass as well as hardness to his punches. The ideal of placing two little blocks in Margo's handwraps was extremely dumb on top of being very ineffective. Capetillo should get his head checked for doing that. Even had they gotten away with it I believe it would have damaged Margo's own hands more than his opponent's face since all the padding was still in his gloves.

What Divac said. Resto admitted he had plaster in his gloves.

I agree. There is absolutely no evidence that Margarito ever used plaster in an actual fight. Innocent until proven guilty!

"Innocent until proven guilty" is a good rule.

I'll wait for the court's (and the commission's) final judgment before I condemn Margarito.

Having said that, I cant help but have less enjoyment whenever I watch his past fights, now.

It will probably return back to 100% when I learn that he is completely innocent.

I agree this whole thing has been exaggerated. Ive been watching Margarito before most of you had ever heard of him(saw many of his fights live when he was a prospect in the LA area) and he always hit hard and always his punches always had the same affect on his opponents. Do you Margarito haters think he has been packing his gloves his whole career? If Mosley and Cotto wars didnt affect him he should be back to kicking ass and being a big threat to anyone not name Mosley in the WW division.

if he was innocent or his corner, they would have fought this with all their energy. Weren't they sort of quiet about the whole thing?

Yeah but is there proof that he didnt use dodgy wraps? And whats Mosley got to do with this? Stick to the point which is the fact that he has his licence revoked. Thats enough eveidence for me. Not to mention that pathetic attempt of an explanation that i saw on u tube. Wearing shades up until the point where he stops lying. Its disgusting. He should be banned for life!

There actually is proof that Margarito did'nt have dodgy wraps in his fights.......There was a representative from every fighter he's ever fought that was invited to see him wrap from beggining to end......as there was an inspector there inspecting the wrapping session.

If Margarito ever got climbed up a ring with loaded wraps, blame the inspectors and his opponent appointed representative.

The represantative ok'd it, the inspectors signed off on them......Margarito's wraps were good to go, and we dont need more proof than that.
