Margarito's got a ranking out of nowhere. http://wbcboxing.com/indexEng.php As mini-Chavez will be fighting for the 'Super Special Silver' title at 160 and Williams will probably be seeking fights elsewhere, it's plausible that Rhodes will fight Margarito for the WBC title if he retains his Euro belt. Given the problems Margarito is going to face getting the fight in America, would you watch this guaranteed all-action fight in the UK? :think:good
Margarito would absolutely destroy Rhodes. Early. Brutal. I would not want to pay money for a cruel mismatch.
most certainly would be interested in going to this. imagine that fight on the Haye-Wlad (if made in the UK) undercard with Groves-Smith for the British title!!
Rhodes is not a bad fighter by any means, and although he's getting on Margarito is one dimensional and Rhodes is durable (certainly appears so at 154) It's a fight that will never happen though IMO. I assume that Floyd-Pac won't happen and Arum will do the Manny Homecoming fight he's wanted to do for ages; Pac vs Margarito. Or maybe at the Azteca :deal
Deff prefer it in Vegas, bit torn between-em as i'am a big Margo fan & Ryan'a going to be at his 1000% best if he's to keep out of serious harms way & see the fight out which is doubtfull seeing the way Margo hunted Cotto down & smashed him too bits. I went to that fight at the MGM & the atmosphere was absolutly spine tingling
Of course i'd go, Rhodes is a legend in my eyes, simply for sticking at it after having the wind blown out of his sails all those years ago. And i think your selling Rhodes massively short here, Margarito was never all that great at 154, and I think Rhodes will have his number, especially after the lay off and the beating Margo took from Mosley.
Nevermind Margarito's handwraps, I would be behind Ryan Rhodes smashing him up all day long...:bbb:bbb:bbb
