Will De La Hoya challenge Antonio Margarito if he beats Cotto?

I doubt it, though I also doubt Margo will get passed Cotto so odds are Margo gets screwed either way. Maybe he can go and fight Kermit for a third time to boost his confidence.

Yeah, I think that's a fair bet, assuming Mayweather doesn't suddenly come out of the woodwork and unretire. Margarito will have to ko Cotto to win. Cotto has too much money and boxing industry influence behind him to lose this fight on points. imho. I could definitely see a controversial decision victory for Cotto here.

Well that depends. Lets say Margarito does so with ease, and scores a DEVASTATING KO of Mr. Cotto. All of a sudden, Oscar will come out with a statement on Fight News that he is "having problems making 147"

Lets say that Margarito wins a war, but is cut up and injured. Oscar will use this as an excuse to avoid him "AM is not ready in December due to the injuries recieved, ect."

If Margarito gets his ass whipped and wins a contraversial SD and looks beatable, then maybe.

The last scenario was pretty much what I was thinking. If whoever wins, does it convincingly. De La Hoya will think twice. If it's a contriversial victory he might go for it. because if he couldn't knockout Forbes. Time is ticking fast...

Hell no De la hoya has stated years ago he will never fight Margarito, infact word in the gyms is that Tony put it on DLH in sparring pretty bad.
