what do you think the chances of a rematch are if marg wins and if not - who would he fight? probaly will be a rematch which for some reason i would probaly still have money on Cotto

no chance hatton would fight him, wouldnt want to fight that heavy after mayweather kod him :D

Mayweather is probaly never going to fight margarito unless he beats someone other than just Cotto and becomes aloter higher P4P.

Moseley is an option, might fancy himself if Mayorga can soften him up and make him look old, Kos moseley and calls Mayweather, would offer alot more than 8 million this time.

Margarito vs De La Hoya - May 2009?

    Cotto KO10 Margarito

    My prediction as well. :good

Anyway, if Margo wins I think there's a very high likelihood of a rematch especially if the fight is good and competitive. Although I think there's more of a chance that Margo will skip that **** and go for the immediate big payday against Oscar De La Hoya. It's makes obvious

If MArgarito wins, I actually think he'll chase Paul Williams for a rematch.

Depends on how he wins. If its close then there probably will be a rematch. However if De La Hoya wants to fight him then he will go down that road. Can't see anyone turning down the money you will get from an Oscar fight.

I would personally prefer the winner of Cotto-Margo to fight Williams.

If Margarito Wins then I am sure he will rematch Cotto because it will be more money in a rematch with Cotto as opposed to a rematch with Williams..........plus Williams isnt on Top Rank.....:good

    He won't chase Williams.

If he wins he'll likely chase DLH. If that option falls through then of course he'd entertain the idea of fighting Williams.

I'm fairly sure he doesn't put much into the loss to Williams. He does acknowledge that he was partially to blame for that loss.

i really didnt even consider Williams as i assumed the bigger money out there to be made is only around until he loses again after the Cotto win....Margarito would just chase the money i think and go for Oscar.

Depends on how he wins first and foremost.

De La Hoya is more or less out of the question it seems. Looks like he's set to take on Tito in the final fight of his career (of course not but that's what he says).

I think he will chase Williams for a rematch...maybe not chase (since he's the bigger name if he beats Cotto) but push for it heavily. Williams is the last guy to beat him and it was close...and with beating Quintana, Williams is easily #3 behind Margo and Cotto.

I don't see how he doesn't chase (probably the wrong word still) if he beats Cotto.

The question I have is does Margarito see Cotto as a chance to make $$$ or to set straight his legacy as the best welterweight currently, or is it a combo of both?

So, if Cotto wins, would there be a rematch? How about if it is close, with Cotto winning via split decision?

Well like someone said it depends on the nature of the defeat, however you would have to think there is going to be a rematch. Considering both margarito and cotto are with top rank, and cotto is a big attraction to go along with some who are going to reguardless of a ko or decision, call margarito potential win as a fluke.

Well most definitely there will be a rematch, unless the victory is in the manner of Cotto - Quintana or Margarito - Cintron.

What's with all these wannabes looking to piggy back on DLH's PPV attractiveness? I mean DLH has one (Trinidad) or two fights (Cotto?) to go. He won't take on someone who brings nothing to the table.

p.s. recent rumours had DLH fighting Alcine, said rumours denied by Alcine's promo group GYM.
