Youre right he did, but i feel he was using his feet to do so. Been a long time since i saw that fight though. He didnt fight Marquez the way he fought Cotto thats for sure. Think hed do better with his new style?

Floyd needs to fight the new bigger Marquez, the one who hired a real nutritional coach for the Pac fight, and not the sluggish, bloated version that he also cheated on the scales. Pretty sure new Marquez would at least surpass Cotto's performance.

I'd have to see Marquez show speed and mobility while coming forward against a defensive fighter around welterweight. Maybe a Bradley-type. But I doubt he'd show the dynamism offensively necessary for a shot against Floyd given the current disparity in speed, size, age, etc.

    No way.

    Whats the point.

Fight was a complete picking apart. A great counter puncher got destroyed by a god given talent counter puncher.

It would generate small interest, Low revenue, and simply isnt worth it.

Plus i like Marquez and dont want to see him beaten like that again. It was so one sided it wasnt funny.

Different styles bring out a different style for Floyd. He didnt fight Cotto in the way he fought Marquez because Cotto is not Marquez and doesnt fight like him. Not because hes got "this new style".

Yes his legs are slowing down, but back down at 147 are you honestly telling me he cant revert back to his old style for enough rounds to get yet another easy win?

Trust me. Total domination once again, whatever "style" he uses.

floyd is the superbowl and he isn't gonna fight forever so why waste it, I say he should just stay in 154 or fight bradley.

My instant thought was no but Marquez does now carry the weight far better. Still, it wasn't just about weight that got him beat last time. It was also about styles and skill. So, nah forget it. Besides, this part of Floyd's career is the most important. How he ends it. And to beat Marquez again will do nothing to leave a long lasting impression.

They would still rather see the loser (Pacquiao) of Marquez-Pacquiao 3 fight Floyd. Floyd already dominated Pac's daddy Marquez.

I think a case can be made for the rematch, but I think there would be better/more compitive fights for Mayweather.
