We don't know if it will help or not, think that's the only fair answer regarding that as his performance is the only proof we can rely on apart from being negative or positive about it with predictions/thoughts.

Who would have imagined Pacquiao to be this powerful at the higher weights he moved to?, as far as I remember we got the EXACT same responses with "lols" and ":nut" whenever anyone suggested Pac will be far more powerful before the DLH fight.

See this is the main reason I was pissed when they first announced the fight.

Because as great as Marquez wins were at 135 he seemed to have lost a step. He beat two top lightweights and had the power to KO them, but he was also wobbled in both fights.

No doubt in my mind Floyd hits harder is more precise he just won't probably be as busy as those fighters which could also play a factor.

But yea at this point any predictions on Marquez at this weight is all guessing. But I give him about a 30-70 shot.

If we're looking for a factor that could help marquez it won't be his weight it'll be the layoff floyd just came back from coupled with marquez's technical ability.

But I think that won't be a factor either personally.

post the video were he was wobbled. Also Casa was the lineal champ and Juan diaz was the former ibf, wba, and wbo unified champ.

I really hope so. I just have a feeling that the weight will beat JMM. He looked like the smaller, weaker man against Diaz early on, before his accuracy wore Diaz down in the mid-rounds. And that was Diaz at 135. Marquez is a GREAT fighter, but I don't think he will be great over 140. Everyone has their glass ceiling in terms of weight/size.

Post the video? By you not understanding this is a fact not an opinion your showing a bias that I don't know which way is intended.

Those were good wins like I said and a hell of an accomplishment for a career feather and at an older age. he was slower and took more punishment than a man of his skill should have. Right or wrong?

Casa was the lineal but that was a title he shouldn't have had. Santa Cruz beat Casa decisively yet was still somehow robbed of that title by the judges. He just went life and death with a solid fighter in Katsidis but not that elite level we're talkin. Diaz was taken out by Campbell in impressive fashion then had a fairly clear victory over Katsidis where he still had moments.

You need to take these things into perspective when you look at these wins.

I think it helps his punch resistance, his stamina, and his strength. The older guys who train up in weight usually do well.

You're right about that, at least it should work that way. But I guess I'm really looking at it in terms of speed and mobility.

Being able to be fast enough to counter over those lead rights and mobile enough to get out of harms way. Which seems to me is his way to victory. I see a very technical fight.

That's reasonable since all people view it that way including myself. I'll tell you though if he didn't move up for this fight he would have for another as he plans to get a third fight with Pacquiao and some big money fights. The guy is 35, the "legacy" stuff is done with at this point, now it's time to make some big money and if Mayweather didn't accept the challenge someone else would have.

Ren, he isn't going to be faster than Floyd anyway, so he might as well get his weight up lol. Marquez is a superbly skilled fighter, and I don't expect anything less from him. Floyd may win a onesided fight, but a man who was down 3 times in the 1st against PAc and finished the full 12 can never be counted out. Marquez will be punching harder than ever in this fight, but he is going against the BEST defensive fighter in the world.

you could be right too and i may be a little biased since im a jmm fan but he was able to handle pacs power fine so i see no reason why he cant handle floyds.
