IF Marquez DOES catch Floyd flush, does he have the power to KO PBF?

I think blind punches are more to do with timing and angles than speed. I always refer back to the last left hook of round 2 of the Marquez/Pacquiao 2 bout. Manny is clearly buzzed by that left hook, and that action replay shows that he didn't see it coming. He soon recovered, but Marquez has enough technique and is dynamic enough in his offensive variety to deliver punches Mayweather may not see coming.

Marquez is a smart SOB.. This is not Hatton Mayweather will be facing... Mayweather is going to be Mayweather and run all night long.. taking only minimal risks to survive.

Perhaps so, but Marquez has often been guilty of fighting in a defensive posture, waiting to draw on mistakes from his opponent. I just appreciate the artistry.

No. Floyd has a very sturdy chin. No former featherweight moving up in weight is gonna hurt Floyd.

Oscar's right hand ain't ****. Show me a flush left hook, and then I'll ask Oscar.

N who? I mean, talk about reaching. N'dou didn't land ****. He flailed away like an amateur on Floyd against the ropes with wide punches that Floyd was blocking.

Judah landed one significant punch in the fight.

So you acknowledge fighters have landed on Floyd. That is all.

The only time I seen Floyd really appear buzzed was when he fought Corley.

I agree that Mayweather defensively as hell against Oscar and appeared to be scared, and his actions made it clear that he was likely scared, but I didn't see Oscar land ****.

Floyd's defense makes it very difficult for his opponents to land clean shots. The one hinderance Floyd has is that he appears to lack power.

I don't believe Floyd lacks power. When he lets his hands go, he seems to draw a reaction from his opposition. Oscar was buzzed by a counter right hand, Hatton was knocked out cold, and Corrales was being hurt and knocked down on a consistent basis. Moving up in weight obviously made his power less of a factor, but he has enough pop, in my opinion, to stop Marquez if he lands consistantly enough.

    I don't know about that.

It took him about 9,000 power shots to get N'Dou outta there. Even Gatti managed to stay on his feet despite being hit by Floyd just under a million times.

If Floyd was confident of his power, he would have no problem taking on guys like Margarito and other big fighters because he has the skill to beat them.

so do I but this is going to be Marquez's biggest fight to date, topping Pacman's because he knows what's at stake and how a loss would send him spiraling down in rankings, recongnition and legacy. I think this will be the best Marquez ever... a lot of people are underestimating him.. not me.
