IF Marquez DOES catch Floyd flush, does he have the power to KO PBF?

I think Juan Manuel Marquez has issues with Floyd Mayweather Jr even if they were the same size. He is the one fighter who I could honestly say is even technically more impressive than Dinamita, but he also holds significant size advantages at this stage in his career. Perhaps to much for Juan to overcome, but I pray that he upsets the odds and proves me wrong.

Hatton rocked Floyd badly.. Floyd was ready to be KTFO for a second but he threw himself on the ropes and caused a distraction. That's a tactic Floyd always uses, he causes a distraction of some sort whenever he feels he's in some sort of trouble.

    That's TWO questions.

I believe he has the power to send Floyd to the canvas.

I don't believe he can put him in serious trouble.

Even a guy of JMMs size can put a much bigger guy down, if the other guy doesn't see it coming.

Some of the most devastating KOs occurr when you don't see what's coming at you.

    Rahman/Lewis, Tarver/Jones, Pacman/Hatton...

Re this fight, I think JMM must know he can't beat the Floyd who retired.

He must be hoping that that the layoff will have degraded Floyd's abilities.

Or, As JMM is in his own twilight years, perhaps he's decided to go out with a bang.

A big bang, and for big bucks !

Uppercuts are more effective on people who are leaning forward or hold their hands up in mummy position.

I can't think of a time in Floyd's career where most of his work comes from leaning backwards and rolling into shots.

I don't think Marquez has the power to spark Mayweather though, he might stun him, but Floyd's punch restistance should be fine as hardly anyone catches him clean.

    Rubbish.

That was more of a balance issue than Floyd actually being buzzed by any single shot Hatton managed to throw. Saying Floyd was on the verge of "KTFO" almost rids you of any credibility. I'll give you an opportunity to clarify otherwise.

No, I don't think so.. I've seen Marquez adapt to everything from some of the best fighters of the sport.. Floyd gives you the illussion he's Superman ONLY BECAUSE he's fighting washed ups and has beens.. a tough Castillo scripted the blue print on how to beat Floyd.. reason for which Floyd has stayed away from that type of fighters.. Marquez is very smart.. He doesn't belong at 145 though..

What is that Blueprint? Why didnt Castillo use it in the second fight?

    Jmm-PBF is at 143

Let's say that's true, and the way to beat Floyd is to rough him up on the inside, and utilize the uppercut and body work? Juan Manuel Marquez is not a great inside fighter, he prefers to lounge on the outside, make his opponents miss, and to punish them with right hand counters. Lately, he has been pressing the action more, but not as Castillo did in his first encounter with Floyd. I don't see any relevance for that reason.

Uppercut that stopped Diaz also will also stop Mayweather when it lands'.
    (Or the left uppercut)

I invite you to watch the tape.. watch how he gets rocked by that overhand right.. Floyd feels it, Hatton tries to keep the pressure on, Cortez tries to jump in, Floyd sees Hatton coming hard and LITERALY throws himself on the ropes, Hatton follows him and throws a shot that lands on the ropes.. Cortez deducts a point.. Watch it again.
