...and wins decisively and Pacquiao loses to DLH does Marquez go to P4P #1?? I know it's 2 ifs, but just out of curiousity what do you think? I think a very strong argument can be made for Marquez P4P #1 in this scenario.

I have Juan Manuel Marquez at #1 on my P4P list based on MY scorecard in the 2nd PacMan fight and the wins over Barrera for the SFW and Casamayor for the lineal LW championship.

Why wouldnt he be over Pac is the better question.
They are both top p4p fighters. The only thing that gave Pac the edge is that he got the nod in their fight and if afterwards they are fighting top level competition the first one to lose should drop.

Yup, Pac decided to go another route which I dont blame but if he looses he gets what he deserves.

I say no! Only b/c Nate is nowhere near the challenge that a DLH is. And depending on how well PAC does...even in a loss it would still do somthing for his legacy. Beating Nate is a great feather in JMM hat, but he's expected to beat nate. Nate is very good, don't get me wrong but he's not prime EM or MAB. Nate would be a tougher challenge to JMM than Juan Diaz but JMM is ELITE....Juan and Nate are just VERY good in a deeply talented division.

 Well...if PAC looses to DLH by first Round KO then maybe!

    I say yes he does.

Not based upon their next challenges, but the ones they have just accomplished.

All depends on how Pac looses. If he looses by SD then no. Afterall, we merit JMM for loosing an SD to Pac, why not merit Pac for loosing an SD to ODLH...Judging by some of the comments here (DLH KO1, Pac 0% chance) then just going the distance seems a very impressive feat already.

I have Juan Manuel #1 as well....he is a monster.

He will systematically take Nate apart.

I voted no as Pac's chances of beating Oscar very slim.

Well of course Marquez becomes #1.

How could he not? He becomes the Lightweight Ring champion with Casa and then undisputed unified Lightweight champion by beating campbell, all this while Pacquiao gets his ass knocked out by a middleweight.

Is that a mitigating circumstance though? Does the drastic size difference make a difference? Not taking any sides, just interested in peoples' opinion on this.

Nothing happens until Marquez beat Pacquiao. Pac has already beaten Maquez twice. :smoke

You should therefore credit him for fighting a middleweight. Pac's loss to Oscar won't make a difference in his ranking considering that Pac has already beaten Marquez twice (had the scorecard in the first fight been rectified.).
