If Martin Murray was a can, what does that make Lemieux?

    We all know Golovkin destroyed Murray in a one sided fight. Who at the time was pretty much regarded as the top 160 pounder in the world.

    He's a can though in the eyes of most people on this forum.

    Wonder what that makes David Lemiuex.

    Murray was serious business. He was never convincingly beaten before Golovkin. I think people will appreciate him more after his fight vs Abraham next month which I expect to be highly competitive.

    I agree. Murray is the only highly respectable win that Golovkin has so far IMO.

    Murray is a good fighter and Golovkin just picked him apart with power shots.

    Murray was a good win, it will be even better if he can beat AA in his next fight.

    Murray pretty much drew or beat Maravilla in Argentina, tho Maravilla was already going downhill and he also got robbed vs Sturm. Murray a strong, cagey fighter, not a big puncher, but enough to keep opponents humble. Won't be surprised if he upsets AA.

    Murray is only a can on ESB were you are only rated if you are P4P material.

    There is a real lack of understanding and respect on this board for the sport of boxing.

    Murray and Lemiuex may not be Canelo or Cotto, but they are still better than most in the MW division so if you beat them you deserve a lot of respect.

    if Golovkin were American, or even better, an AA fighter, then Stevens, Proksa, Rosado, Murray, Macklin, Geale and Monroe Jr would be very good fighters who would have given Hagler, Hearns, Toney or RJJ fits
