Ray has been KO'ed:nut ...Duran has quit and been KO'ed 4 times:| ...hearns has been KO'ed as well:nut ......resumes dont mean **** when ur getting beat up in your fights...the point of boxing is to hit and not get hit....not get hit and beat up but rack up a good resume with memorable names on it....:hi:

typical nonsense being spewed.....so let me guess someone who losses to ATG's makes them GREAT by default? They all fought each other....it was a 4 some of greats at that time in a blistering HOT division......We arent talking about who BEAT the most ALL TIME GREATS, because fighters now arent held to that standard because of people who say a fighter is "washed up" or "exposed" or has a "glass chin" after only 1 loss.....so its a different ERA. But if i were to be blessed with any of those 4's skills/talents along with Mayweather....I think id rather have floyds skills:think

Who has Floyd fought?!!! Wow, see thats what I mean. whenever he beats someone who has credibility then all of a sudden they are a nobody. DLH, Hatton, Gatti, Judah... so who does he need to fight? Cotto and who else? no matter who he beats as long as there is another opponent it will never be enough until he losses in many people eyes and thats sad. He's one of the greatest period.

Cotto, will lose against Floyd. If he's the best then why would floyd have to fight everyone one else to prove his legacy. In anyother pro sport you tell me who has to win against other good opponents to be crowned champion. Did the giants have to beat the colts too to be considered champs? People have the shot at being champ and fighting Floyd. If they can beat cotto they could get a shot. If they can't beat Cotto why should Floyd have to fight them? It makes no sense

If he beats Cotto, there would be nothing more to prove.

He could go up again to 154 and beat Spinks maybe, or go to 160 and try to beat a champ there (he'd probably fail). But if he beats Cotto, he's legassy would be complete.

Come on just top 20 if he beats pavlik, he'd been in my top 10 with that on his resume and might go higher, that would have had him lineal at i believe though could be wrong 130, 35, 47 and 60. That alone puts him top 10 imo. He don't beat pavlik though so its irrelevant.

Think i'd have mayweather top 20 with cotto and he might be there now, not sure havn't gone past 10 on my list yet, i'd certainly consider him for 20 if i did one, not sure he crack it just yet though

lmao@ "Many of you want to see him lose and then come back to give him credit and boost him to a all time fighter which is ridiculous.":happy

this is real spit...people want to see him get KO'ed out of his chinchilla jordans then come back and rematch the guy who ko'ed him and go the full 12 rounds with each fighter getting dropped 4 times covered in blood & PBF gets his 2 front teeth knocked out.....thats the only WAY PBF can be an all time great:bart :dead :nono

I don't know if it'll be good for Mayweather's legacy to retire undefeated. Being undefeated IMO means that you haven't taken yourself to the absolute limit. If he beats Cotto, there's really not much left, but there's always something.
I would still like to see him in there with Mosley if SSM can beat Judah&Quintana.
If someone can unify the 154-pound weightclass, he could go after whoever that will be.
Or, as mentioned, he could seek out Pavlik and try to become probably the smallest MW-champ in history.
Botton line is that there's always more to do and new boundaries to seek out, so if you wanna be REALLY great, keep pushing yourself further and further until you finally hit the ceiling like all fighters do at some point. THAT is what great fighters do.

Being great means taking on unsurmountable challanges.

Not cherry picking through 5 weight divisions
