If you had actually read my whole post, you would have noticed that i consider Mosley a lesser fighter than Mayweather.
When i say he hasn't taken himself to the limit, i mean that in terms of the opposition he's fought, he hasn't hit his ceiling yet, cuz if he had he would have lost.
And when i say Mosley's "more proven", i mean that he's put himself to the test so much that there's now absolutely nothing we don't know about what Mosley can and can not do in the ring. We know everything there is to know about his abilities AND his limitations, and then you REALLY have nothing left to prove.
What i do NOT mean is that Mosley is a greater, more accomplished fighter than PBF. Like i said before, i consider Floyd the p4p best of this decade, as a matter of fact, he's my favourite fighter (or one of my favourites).l

I've personally said if he beat Cotto that would be enough to solidify his legacy...But..I would like to see him beat up Corey Spinks before retireing, even though it would'nt be necessary it would only add to it...and Spinks is nowhere near as dangerous as Cotto

Top 20 easy. He would have beaten the top Super-featherweight (Corrales or Hernandez), the top lightweight Castillo, the top Junior-Welterweight Hatton, the top Welterweight (Cotto), and one of the better Junior Middleweights DLH. Would have amassed a 41-0 record and to this point, has only really be challenged once. Without a doubt a top 20 ATG with a Cotto win. Thoughs arguing he would only crack the top 40 are doing some serious hating.

You didn't read carefully everything I said about Lewis. Had he beat Mcall and Rahman(two guys who weren't expected to beat him), he probably would've retired undefeated. Now are you going to tell me Lennox didn't take enough risks? They guy fought pretty much every champion and to contender of his era. The only two guys missing were Bowe, and slightly past it Tyson circa 1996. However, he tried to fight both of those guys and neither wanted to ight him.

unfortunately who a boxer fights and how it affects his legacy is going to become a moot point in the modern day because of the money involved.

do we want to see floyd fight cotto?

    hell yeah!

will he give up the 25 mill for fighting oscar in what could be a less dangerous matchup - no way.

If he beat Cotto, and maybe had a fight with Mosley which he would probably win, he would go down in top 20 p4p ever, possibly top 10.

Anybody suggesting he would make top 40 p4p ever are talking through there ass. I'd like to see them name even 30 fighters who are better than PBF, I'd probably struggle to name 20.

prime mosley would be impressive - but not so impressionable now.
by the way mosley - judah is the most likely bout to be made in the near future, whch i'd love to see.

If Floyd beats Cotto then the only thing left to do is a fight with The Big Show.

Still a lot of great fighters at WW or he could possibly clean up Jr.MW. If he had old time grit he might try and beat the winner of Pavlik/Abraham or go for a MMA belt

If he beats Cotto I will be completely satisfied with his accomplishments. Of course he could go on and fight other dangerous opponents such as Mosley, Margarito, Cintron, Williams, Quintana or maybe move up in weight to 154 but if he retired I would have no problem with that. He needs to fight Cotto though.

Why the hell would PBF fight Pavlik, because you want him too? :-(
