First of all where is Floyd on your GOAT rankings and secondly where would he end up in your GOAT rankings if he beat GGG at 160ib? I'm not saying he would or will do this but I'm just interested to hear opinions

    15-25

beating golovkin would be one of the greatest victories in the history of the sport and make him top 5

Good post. I personally have him around 20-25 at the moment but a win over GGG at his own weight class would most certainly put him in the top 3-5 in my opinion.

Oh GGG had to first learn that how to maintain himself from middle weight to heavy weight.....

IF Mayweather should fight and defeat Golovkin at MW, ten Mayweather's legacy gets a huge bump, not because he defeated Golovkin, but because he jumped another impossible weight class and defeated a MW champion. Golovkin is a no-body, so it really doesn't matter if it is Golovkin, Jacobs, Quillin or Curtis, the impact on Mayweather's legacy is the same. IMHO, even this doesn't make Mayweather the TBE.

That would make Cotto and Canelo look soooooo bad.

And would be probably Floyd's greatest achievement in his career.
I can't see that happening in many ways though.

Mayweather beating GGG on face value won't mean much, but winning a unified MW Title would give him a huge.

    NO.

Not even close. Beating Bumlovkin wouldn't mean anything and it does nothing for Mayweather's legacy seeing as Bumlovkin is a *nobody*.

Someone please tell me again, exactly WHO has Bumlovkin beaten?

what other wins would be better than a retired 38 yo welter who started way lower beating the best mw on the planet?

That'd be arguably the very best win in history. I can't think of a better win than that.
If he beat Golovkin at 160lbs, not 154lbs, then he'd be in Top 15 for me. Golovkin H2H is an absolute monster who is Top 5 at MW (H2H not legacy).

Bumlovkin isn't the best 160lb'er on the planet until he PROVES that in the ring.

To answer your question, Duran taking apart a very dangerous Iran Barkley @ 160 is a MUCH better win, IMO..

    LOL.

    Martinez
    Toney
    Jones
    Hopkins
    Griffith
    Nunn
    Hagler
    Leonard
    Robinson

ALL beat the breaks off of Bumlovkin @ 160 - and there are certainly a lot more guys who should be added to this list...
