Of course it would, because that outcome would be in doubt beforehand whereas I've never doubted for one moment that Mayweather decisively beats Pacquiao at 147 at any point since it was first ever discussed.

Yeah. But he needs to get Pac out of the way, first.

Don't see him fighting Sergio first, unless they have totally given up on a Pac match.

it's also better for floyd to lose to sergio at 160 than to lose to pac at 147.

...which was what they were accused of mentioning way back that a lose to winky is better than a lose to margo.

    No.

People may say so now because everyone will be in awe of the weight jump, but names stick harder.

SRL was no doubt a greater win than Barkley for Duran. Just like MAB is a much greater win for Pac than any of his wins at 140+ even though at the time Pac fought MAB, they would have rated him Top 10 ATG if he could beat someone like Oscar/Cotto/Hatton.

Pac is PBF rival, a bonafide top 20 ATG, Floyd beating him will forever be in history. Beating Martinez will just be another successful weight jump as was his previous 5 weight titles.

Yes..Because it would give him his 6th division title...and he'd have legitimate claim to being the best middleweight in the world...all while weighing below 155 and starting at 130.

    No doubt.

MOst people expect a Mayweather victory over Pacquiao.

    Martinez at 160?
Just fighting Sergio there, win or lose, surpass any 147 victory.
