    Mayweather started at 130 and he had to fight Oscar light because he couldnt get to 154 so why should he go to 160 and 168? Martinez is the one who needs to move up and stop trying to go down.

    Floyd isn't inclined to do it and nobody is forcing him, but he's just saying if he wants to become the GOAT, then he'd have to do something funky like that. Some of the greatest fighters in the past would do crazy stuff like that every now and then

    Yeah that's what people don't get, the expectation isn't that floyd or pac have to fight martinez.

    If they wanna break the elite that is exactly what they'd do however.

    You had guys like langford fighting people from joe gans to harry wills. Completely blind he knocked out an all time great middleweight when in his 40's after dropping down from heavyweight. Blind and he knocked him out.

    It'll take something ridiculous for floyd or pac to enter that level of greatness.
