I think Mayweather should move up in weight to really showcase his skills. He could be an ATG if he proved himself against more threatening opponents.

If he brutalizes Pacquiao then that's just the first step in becoming an ATG. Of course, he'll never stop catching **** for fighting smaller opponents until he starts fighting bigger opponents. This is just where all the money is.

what makes Manny less of a legit ww than Floyd? He is champion is he not, and he does walk around at 152 (by his own admission) does he not?

The guy has won titles in 5 different divisions. How many more big guys does he have to beat? I think you're a little off here. I'm pretty sure Mayweather will go down as an ATG.

That's exactly what I expect, so that means not much.

Pacquiao is a slightly higher class fighter but Mayweather has a big style and a bit of a size advantage over Mayweather. A win of Mayweather would be a good win but not a great one like the win of Pac over Mayweather would be.

Honestly, I expect Mayweather to win an easy UD, perhaps even winning a late round TKO. Pac has a chance when Mayweather fights a too defensive fight but PBF should be a solid favourite.

Cotto is not as good as Mayweather.

+ it was an easier style matchup

Floyd already moved up in weight 4 times. How exactly has he not been fighting guys bigger than him.

I agree. I'm simply trying to illustrate that size is not as important as people are making it out to be. Stlyes, skill level, are both much more important than size.

Yes but negligible while PBF is clearly a lot bigger than Pac. Floyd being half black is also an advantage because they are tougher than any race.

Size can be a huge factor as well. It depends on the fight. Sometimes without enough strength a fighter's gameplan is rendered completely ineffective, regardless of his skill level.

Imagine BHop vs Taylor is Taylor was a JMW moving up to MW instead of a big MW. Hopkins would have tore his ass up because there wouldn't be the need to respect his power as much. That's an example of a fight where size could have made a huge difference imo.

Pac vs Floyd is similar. Alot of Floyd's gameplan will be focused on defense. The more Pac is able to make Floyd feel his punches, the more Floyd will likely give up his offense and focus on defense until Pac loses a little bit of zip on his punches. The size difference could play a huge factor

Yeah but Floyd is arguably not as strong as Pac. He's almost certainly not as strong as Cotto. Lack of strength won't be Pac's downfall against Floyd should he lose.

Because PBF has been a welter for many years now while Pac just only had 1 fight at welter.

He really dosent need to move up.
He has Shane or Berto he could move up to Fight KP but I rather see winner of Berto Shane. He could fight Cotto who wouldnt want to see it?
    Margo will be Back soon.
I really dont see him fighting much longer 40 fights is alot its not like he has been stopping people like Tyson or the Klitch brothers alot of those Fights he has Been going 12 full rounds.
But he is in the Deepest Division. PW could come down but PW would Lose because PW WILL be Drained if he has to Burn any Muscle

Pac's lack of strength at WW compared to his strength at other weightclasses will imo be the determining factor.
