I mean look lets be realistic, who's really out there at 147 pounds that can give Pacquiao a real tough fight?

Pacquiao vs Berto is easily a mismatch in Pacquiao favor.

Pacquiao vs over the hill Mosley is a mismatch in Manny favor.

Pacquiao vs Marquez rubber match at 147 pounds is easily a mismatch in Pacquiao favor.

Pacquiao vs the winner of Bradley vs Alexander is another mismatch in Pacquiao favor cause Pacquiao will demand the winner of that fight to fight him at 147 pounds.

The only real real fight not name Mayweather that i think can give Pacquiao hell is clearly Martinez but Pacquiao won't dare moving up at 154 pounds.

That's the sad truth. If Mayweather doesn't sort his **** out, Pacquiao will be open to criticism regardless of who he faces.

Have you ever heard of the psychology of conspiracy theories?

It's weak people who make up bizarre conspiracies why something has happened, as the obvious truth is a bit too painful for them to take in.

As in, Manny walked out of the fight over drug testing.

The second negotiation never went anywhere over a dispute over drug testing again.

And until Manny accepts full random drug testing, he has no moral high ground on this.

    Ray

When's the last time Manny fought a tactical, skilled, pure boxer?

Marquez. And he probably lost 8 rounds.

Even Clottey made Pacquiao look bad. Landing all the big shots on the counter

Manny has no moral high ground in facing tactical, skilled, precision counter punchers. As the last time he faced once, he was terrible.

He's faced brawlers none stop since Marquez, as they make him look good.

Guys like Bradley, Mosely and Marquez would give him a much harder fight than Tony Margarito or Ricky Hatton

You know, since Marquez he's made his name beating up people who have already been beaten up?!

What could he get from Hatton or Margarito? Why are they better fights than Marquez or Mosely?

Hadn't both of them been whupped in living memory?

Yup. The only way Pacquiao won't get criticize if he either move back down to 140 pounds to fight either Bradley or Alexander or fight Martinez at 154 pounds.

Honestly, I think its Floyd who needs to retire and not Pac. There may not be that many good fights out there at the moment, but you have some pretty good fighters who are up and coming both above and below the welterweight limit. The winner of Bradley vs Alexander might produce a good challenge, and Berto is no slouch.

Who else is submitting to this OSDT blood testing in the recent professional fights in boxing other than Mayweather and Mosley?:yep What the heck, Mosely will fight Pac without the OSDT blood testing.:hey Mayweather future fights will require OSDT blood testing as mandated by him. Hopefully he won't be looking hard for prospective boxers to fight. Talking about cleaning the sports of boxing!

Pac already said 3 more years which means maybe 6 more fights. Let's just enjoy what Pac brings to the ring. I had fun watching Roy Jones Jr. beat up nobodies. Pac will get criticized no matter what he does. Haters gonna hate.

Why would you want to see one of boxing's biggest draws and most exciting fighter retire? I want to see him face Mayweather as well but if he doesn't I still want to see him fight. If we wished for superfights or retirement then all boxers would be retired. Ali, Louis, Leonard, Robinson, etc fought plenty of fights where they were heavily favored, not every fight is going to be a superfight or 50/50 going in.

I wouldn't rule out guys like Bradley, Alexander, Berto, Khan, etc being tough fights for Pacquaio in the future. Right now all are big underdogs but they are going to get better while Pac gets older and deeper into politics. November 2010 Pac is a solid favorite over all those guys but come late 2011 or early 2012 then the odds get much closer. Plenty of tough fights out there for Pacquaio for years to come.

If I were Pac, I would think about it this way.

    1. Legacy: Solidified now. Only things left to do:

    - Knock off any big names left - Only thing close, Mayweather, Martinez
    - Settle unfinished business - Only thing close, Marquez
    - Beat the "up and comer" - Winner of Bradley vs Alexander

    2. Pay days: Simple, who would be the biggest draw? I see it shaking down like this:

    Mayweather
    Martinez
    Marquez
    Bradley/Alexander winner

    3. Feasibility:

Mayweahter is ducking - Not a possible fight at this time.

Martinez is too big - The shot that hit Williams would melt Pac. Getting KTFO is bad for the legacy. Avoid this mismatch.

Marquez - Likely an easy win for the much stronger and improved Pac. Great option.

Bradley vs. Alexander winner - Make this the "farewell fight" before retirement. If you win, great. If you lose, you are "passing the torch". Its a win-win situation.

    4. Conclusion:

    Fight Marquez next.

Make Floyd an offer, see what happens, meanwhile setup Bradly/Alexander winner.

Retire as the GOAT (or at least since Ali)

Only big names right now for PPV are Mayweather or Mosley.

Martinez is an easy win for Pac even with the weight but is unknown to everyone except hardcore boxing fans,
Mosley kiils two birds with one stone. He has a big name in the US to casual boxing fans. He is african american and would solitfy Pac as the greatest WW of his era with a victory. If he could KO Mosley that would only etch his place in history further.

    1. Martinez hits harder than anyone I've seen Pac fight. Plus, he's agile, quick and coming off a KO win. Pac may win this fight, but has a great chance of getting KTFO.

If casual boxing fans don't know who the middleweight champ is, then they are losers. If Joe Public doesn't know, so what? They surely didn't know Josh Clottey and they paid for that mess.

Conclusion: Too much to lose, not enough to gain. Skip Martinez.

    2. Nobody is buying this nonsense that Pac is somehow a lesser fighter because there is not a "slick African American boxer" fighter on his resume.

The truth is, there is only one "slick African American boxer" out there with any chance of beating Pac, and that is Floyd Mayweather Jr, and he is too big of a coward to fight Manny.

I think that nullifies the whole idea. Who cares if you are a physically gifted fighter if you are afraid to fight? That's like dating a super model who doesn't put out.

Conclusion: Mosley has zero chance of putting on a competitive fight against Manny. They could do it for the payday, but its not the "best fighting the best".

JMM would be a much more exciting and competitive fight than Mosley, plus, its a trilogy and boxing loves trilogies.
