    whats there to laugh about?

as a champion mayweather should fight everyone who is anyone in the division,

ali fought norton frazier and foreman plus guys that they already beat because they were a threat in the division.

Well a case could have been done when Floyd chose to fight Hatton and Oscar, which obviously aren't the best, but if he fights either Cotto or Williams whoever discredits that win is a pure hater.

Mayweather already was Champ at 130 for a lot of time and beat many contenders there. Few fighters in history dominated more than one division. Henry Armstrong is one of them but....Sugar Ray Robinson only dominated at 147. Sugar Ray Leonard only dominanted at 147. Duran only dominated at 135. And Mayweather only dominated at 130.

If Mayweather fought all those guys and lost to one or two what does it actually mean? that a natural 130 pound guy lost to some great fighters 3 divisions about his natural weight class? anyone see Margarito going up to super middle and beating kessler or Cotto beating Pavlick? Lets be realistic here.

Agreed, Ali should have (or could have) retired after Rumble in the Jungle or after The Thriller in Manila, but he fought on for 6 more years and tried to fight everyone.

Thats what true champions used to try and do.
Ever since Leonard came along looking hungry for money this culture of picking and choosing your opponents as come along.
    I don't like it.

Ali was only in one division his whole career. Apples and oranges. PBF isn't going to be able to fight everyone in this division.

yep being called the greatest ever isnt that easy. he has to leave no questions about it. if he wouldnt say he was the best ever it wouldnt be that big of a deal
