If Mayweather fights Cotto maybe things will play out

Don't expect Cotto to beat Mayweather. Cotto's defense is poor + Mayweather's too accurate. Don't even expect Cotto to have a chance.

 

when your body is down to the very last pound and you still have to lose that extra pound you are killing, dehydrating your body and leaving all energy in the gym

 

Yeah, let's just write him off and give Mayweather the win without fighting him. Cotto doesn't have a jab, he doesn't have good boxing skills or ability. He's just gotten to where he is and beaten the fighters he did with a poor defense due to fluke after fluke. Mosley, Judah, Clottey, doesn't matter that he matched it with these guys, survived their best and pulled out the win. He can't possibly have a chance with Mayweather,not even at 154 where Oscar took a card of Floyd with amateurish flurries.

Cotto doesn't have good boxing skills (his defense against Margo was run n' hold, not exactly eluding punches).

Clottey was a gift decision to face Pacquiao (Clottey won 114-113 on my card).

Oscar won at most 4 rounds against Mayweather, you know May toyed with Oscar the entire second half (116-112 my score).

They told me Mayweather couldn't pull off a Gatti-like performance against Ortiz. After the fight many of those said that the fight was turning to become like that. Cotto's skills are not even close to Mayweather, it's that simple, not that he doesn't have this or that, simply what he has is not what you need to beat Mayweather.
