If Mayweather fights the winner of Cotto-Margarito and loses....

    If he loses to the winner of Margarito Cotto, it will simply be that he was a great fighter who lost to a fighter that was the better man that night.

    If mayweather loses he drops in the p4p standings however his ATG status wont change.

    Mayweather won't lose to Cotto or Margarito ...

    Mayweather will have the benefit of ending has career ... undefeated ... I think he's lucky to have his reign in this era and his talent is head and shoulders above the rest.

    If it's any consolation I'd say right now Mayweather is one of the best lightweights ever and would be competitive with any 140lb boxer that has existed up to this point.

    But that's where I draw the line. And justifiably so. When he fights the elites at 147 and 154 then we can consider him for those weight classes as well. But 2008 DLH and Ricky Hatton don't qualify for 147lb+ elite status.

    maybe i told you so or mayweather aint this that and the other.

    now that i think about it i can think of a few things, nothing more then a simple i told you so i think.
