So if the name is all that matters then you should have no
problem with Pac facing Mosley.... And who are these other light-
middlewights that Pac should be facing? Cotto again? Margo just done that (154 or catchweight Margo was pushing 160 come fight night).

not necessarily, because that was 2 of the best boxers in the world. the weight factor has more emphasis in a brawl than it does in a chess match!!! mayweather totally outclassed one of the classiest boxers in modern times, something that nobody has ever done to him before. that is quite impressive for a man who has been out of boxing for 2 years whichever way you look at it!!!

no, he turned it down to buy out his contract because arum wouldn't promise an ODLH fight

he then fought baldomir (the lineal champ) who everyone said floyd was ducking (for $8MM)

so um, fight margo (who lost at the time to ptp) and have your crooked promoter take 30% of your cut, or buy yourself out...fight for lineal champ (who you were accused of ducking) for the same $ (and get to keep it all) and then go on to fight ODLH @ 154 for the highest non-HW PPV ever

    hmmm, tough choice

You seem to be confusing Marquez's opinion with fact.

it should be at 140. most of the *******s say pac is a 140lber so why cant he meet marquez at 140? marquez is not competitive at 147 and sure thing pac camp wants the advantage at that weight. its a shame really.

As for the opening question, Pacquiao can fight whoever he wants however Mayweather gets absolutely no credit at all for fighting Marquez at welterweight despite coming off a long lay off, in fact some people use this fight to knock him even though there was still a small chance that Marquez could have performed at that weight.

It seems a lot of Pacquiao fans have dug a hole for themselves with this one, they've knocked Mayweather for fighting Marquez at that weight but now are trying to justify Pacquiao doing the same, when in my eyes it's worse since we've seen now how poor Marquez looked at 147.

Someone said it best earlier when they said when Pacquiao was fighting bigger guys they were trying to claim him as a natural junior welterweight, which was the reason for the catchweights.

Now he's got a smaller guy coming up you've got Roach saying he's a natural welterweight, so he won't be fighting under 147.

Also according to the Ring magazine Mayweather weighed in at 152lbs on the scales before the Marquez fight, so unless Marquez dehydrated himself after the official weigh in and came in below 137 there's no way he could outweigh him by at least 15lbs.

if im not mistaken, Pac's last 3 fight weight has an average of 145lbs. (which we would assume as his comfortable weight) if you say they should meet at the middle, literally, then we have 140. he would need to cut 5lbs. i thought cutting even just a pound is already 'weight draining'? *****s were saying, cotto was weight drained for cutting 2lbs, margarito was weight drained for cutting 4lbs yada yada.

well anyway, i just wanna see jmm getting ktfo'd more than ever now, so i hope this fight gets made. jmm beats pacquiao twice. 143-145 cw should be good, let's see if jmm can still beat pac at his comfortable weight.

Only in *****world could Mayweather's acolytes claim Baldomir
was a bigger threat than Margo.... No-one but no-one on planet
earth has ever claimed that Mayweather was ducking Baldomir before
    they fought.

If that was the case then Pacquiao shouldn't be fighting below junior middleweight in future as he would be weight drained dropping back down to welterweight.

Sorry but your debating skills and reasoning seriously suck.

Where did anyone say Baldomir was a bigger threat than Margarito?

It was Brian Kenny that accused Mayweather of ducking Baldomir when he fought Judah.

    ok

#1 show me where i said baldomir was more of a threat than margo (and margo is super crazy over-rated, fwiw)

#2 yes, there was outrage about floyd fighting judah instead of hatton or baldomir (although it was ok for pac for fight morales instead of raheem)
