If Mayweather fought JMM at 147lbs, why can't Pac?

It has to happen at 140. Why not? Why would Pacquiao have problems dropping 4 lbs?

    That's absurd.

Fight Marquez at 140 and finish the trilogy.

lol i wasnt referring to weight divisions, im referring to previous weights regardless of what division was that. i said pac has an average of 145lbs for his previous fights(and i was just assuming that's his most 'comfortable' weight, well no one knows) and if he fights at 140 he would need to cut 5lbs, no? look at this, lets take mayweather for example, (i dont have the time to look for his weights) but let's assume that his avg weight for his recent fights is 146. would it hurt to cut 5lbs just for him to fight jmm at 141? i don't know, really. but when i see statements that says, cotto was weight drained for cutting 2lbs, i'm thinking what more if it's 5lbs?

i was just speculating about the best possible weight they could meet. but if pac really can make 140 with ease then that's good news. i want to see this fight more than ever.

  3. If Marquez wants the fight they should do it at 147. If Marquez agreed to it for Mayweather then he should do the same for Pacquiao. If he doesn't want to do it then tell him to **** off and fight someone else for several million dollars less. It's that simple, and if I was negotiating on Pacquiao's behalf that's precisely how I'd offer it to Marquez. Mayweather wasn't willing to concede any advantage to Marquez so why should Pacquiao? He's the biggest star in the sport and he's the one in the position to dictate the terms.

Marquez is a bitter little man. Pac should negotiate a catchweight at 144. And give Marquez $500,000 for being 2lbs overweight. :rofl:rofl:rofl

So, you want Pac to suffer from making 140 while Marquez does the easy one. :happy

It is very clear that you want Marquez to have the advantage like the second fight when Pac has to drain himself and still won against Marquez.:happy

If JMM wants to fight the Manny that has gotten all the hype recently let him fight Manny at the weight he has been doing that which is WW. He lost 2 times to Manny he has no say. Come to 147 and take the 3rd and final beating.

It wasn't a catchweight per say.

It was more an inclination to come in at 144 than actually have to come in at 144.

Note Mayweather was never fined by the commission.

Also, I highly highly doubt Mayweather was 15lbs over Marquez. He's never cut more than 8lbs. And when you are cutting near 15lbs you start to get really like dry ala Pac. Mayweathers never looked like that.

    Mayweather was like 153-155.

Because JMM never fought Floyd at 147. They agreed to 144. It's like asking Ward to come in at a catchweight of 165 to fight Floyd and we know Floyd will be coming in bloated at 165 and then Ward comes in at 167. Floyd won't be anywhere close to his best samething with JMM.

So Pac weighed in at 144 for the Margo fight at 151, but would have to "kill himself to make weight at 140"?
