Arum is on record stating he wouldn't make the dlh fight because he (Arum) would be working for a small percentage. He also didn't want to give Floyd 10 nil for hatton or cotto for that matter. If Arum isn't getting a cut that he wants its **** the fighters an the fans, he won't make the fight.
But that will be replaced by prime Cotto, Margarito, Clottey and Pac. That is no contest in regards to his legacy.
It is a fair analysis but I did not want to open that can of worms since it would only be fair to do the same to PBF. And that usually leads to an ugly PBF vs Pac, thus derailing the topic of the thread. I still go by my original statement that at the very least, PBF's legacy would be better because he would fight 4 of the top 5 WW, instead of Oscar, Hatton, and Mosley. Mosley is obviously elite and top 2 in the WW division. Not knocking down Oscar or Hatton but beating Margarito, Cotto and Clottey during their prime would have done better in his legacy. Even if you think he would have just steam rolled over them, the point is that across the board it would have been seen as more dangerous, thus better, competition for PBF. Richer? I think so. While Cotto and Margarito would have not made as much as a PBF vs ODLH fight, it would have been around the level of Hatton (except in the UK of course). Cotto would have brought Puerto Ricans while Marg would have brought the Mexicans. Pac vs PBF is obviously a gold mine and had a higher chance of making it happen if they where both in the same house. Of course this ASSUMES that Arum and PBF would still have a working professional relationship. If not then the whole thread is pointless.
