If Mayweather is such a coward why did he give Castillo an Immediate Rematch??

5/6 years too late and JMM had done a better job previously.

Throw into the mix Pac was injured and Floyd was caught "hydrating" and the fight was a major entertainment flop.

Yeah a real fight of the century.

It takes two to tango. It was not entirely PBF's fault. Pac didn't want to test you already know the story. With that said PBF beat both JMM and Pac easily.:deal And it was the fight of the era regardless. So why would he need to go and fight someone else big when he just fought the second best fighter of the era in the biggest PPV fight in history and made 300 million dollars?

    No he didn't.

Why is this place full of imbeciles? Ellerbe couldn't even remember what he'd posted in this very thread. I really don't see why people can't watch boxing objectively.

Oh okay then why did you say under multiple alts PBF would duck Pac and PBF was forced to fight Pac and PBF was scared to fight Pac and would never go through with the fight if it wasn't dangerous?:hi:

The only time it meant anything was in 2010

Sergio martinez at 160 in 2012 was a dangerous fight but floyd cried and said he was too big like a *****

    1. Castillo beat Floyd in the first fight.
    2. Floyd was a lost little boy looking to avenge his loss against Castillo.
    3. Floyd needed Castillo to be seen as a future king.

This is actually the last truly dangerous fight Mayweather took.

Floyd didn't dare to be great. He should have fought Martinez if he wanted to be high in ATG rankings. He doesn't have a marquee name, just an avenged loss to Castillo and a drained and weak Corrales. That's miserable.

Floyd took dangerous fights especially at 130 where he is a contender for best ever at that weight.

At 147/154 he chose his moment and made sure he had all the advantages, Pretty Boy >> Money May

An injured past prime Pacquaio and an undersized Marquez whom Mayweather cheated by not making weight.

That said I've never disputed Floyd's skills and ability in the ring, what I do have problems with is the numerous fighters he never fought and his business minded approach to boxing in the sense that he only fought fighters when it suited him, in his own words at the right time.

I'm not disputing Floyd has a better resume than Golovkin, what I do have a problem is with Joymo's who claim Golovkin would be easy work yet go full ***** mode when people call for the fight.

Floyd is an ATG but one in where his career was carefully plotted after 130.

And finally for the record as a Golovkin fan I'm not interested in seeing Joy fight GGG...it would be a massacre and Golovkin wouldn't get any credit for the win.

You act as if PBF was prime. Pac was healthy he checked it on the form from the NSAC. I never said it would be easy work. PBF started at 130 GGG at 160 PBF is past his prime and GGG is 34 still hanging on to his. If both were the same size it would be easy work but GGG is the much larger man.

GGG has carefully plotted his whole career his resume proves that. PBF has had good wins after he moved up from 130 so I have no idea what you're talking about there???? The problem I have is with GGG fans who make statements like you about PBF carefully plotted career yet I can name a host of fighters he fought after he left 130 that are way better than anyone GGG has yet to face. When PBF couldn't get guys like Casa and Frietas at 130 he moved up he didn't complain about being ducked. When he couldn't get Hatton in the ring at 140 he didn't sit around and complain he moved up.

For whatever reason GGG fans are content with GGG staying at MW unifying a garbage division claiming he's great without ever actually proving it or moving up and when people call them out for their double standards and hypocritical ways they get mad. GGG is 34 not 21 stop coddling him like he's green, it's time for him to take control of his destiny and dare to be great, others have.

There's definitely racism involved, but I think the primary reason they degraded Floyd (and Ward for that matter) is his fighting style. To them it seems that winning with his style is illegitimate, therefore everything he does is called into question. They do it to Wlad as well but to a much lower intensity due to his race.

Interesting point. But I've seen it with Wilder Spence and with Crawford to a lesser extent and all are aggressive fighters. The difference between me and them is that although I didn't like Wlad, was never a fan but I gave him his due and realized during his time he was the best HW in the world. I didn't constantly go into his threads and trash him or his fans, hell I even said Wlad would beat Wilder but I did pick Fury to beat Wlad though.:D

No hater has been able to adequately answer my question I see. If he was such a coward, why the rematch. He got the W. He doesn't care what people think, so if he truly thought Castillo had his number he could've said "nope I won, no rematch, I'm moving forward not backwards baby". But I think his competitive spirit made him want to show Castillo, that not only did I beat you once, but if you truly think you won, I'll give you a shot and beat you again.
