It seems like for the last several years, Khan is always supposedly the next fight for Mayweather. Khan's stock is pretty low right now. There's almost no chance he'll be fighting Mayweather next, if Floyd fights in September.

It could be Alexander but definitely not Khan. Khan still needs one or two fights at welterweight before that fight happens.

I can see Devon Alexander getting that fight because he'd be the main title holder available from the WW division. Problem is he's not box office. So unless they have some way of making Alexander mexican this fight is not going to make floyd his 1 million buys. If they think they command the market just based on Floyd's name a lone then I can see them making this fight. But it would basically be with the worst B side of all time (from a Marketing perspective......the worst Bside was Yorgie Boy Campas....that **** was straight evil).

Also if floyd does come back in September it'll be on mexican independance day. And that means he'll have to fight a mexican.......The only one left is alvarez.

Anyways don't know who floyd is going to fight but I'd bet he takes a pass from lack of opponents and blames the injury.

Honestly, I will be stunned if Canelo is chosen as Mayweather's next opponent. That's the toughest, and biggest fight he could take right now, and I don't see the point of doing it when he still would have four more fights left in his contract. Its gonna be Danny Garcia.

yea but wouldn't garcia have wins at 147. because after floyd fights in september, he won't fight again till may and thats a long time.

Garcia or Matthysse would be good fights.

Didn't Golovkin say he'd be willing to go down to 154lbs for a fight and Floyd is looking to defend hsi 154lbs title... Floyd fans would love this fight I'm sure.

An argentine who can't speak English, got out boxed by Zab and is managed by the same guy floyd is managed by? I'd have to say that one is a long shot.

Good to see Mayweather make the fight that makes sense.
