:thumbsup Both have embarrassed themselves Bill. In a way that not even a defeat would have done!

I agree. Jones may not have fully lived up to his potential, but he is still arguably the greatest fighter of his generation and he has some good wins over great opposition. He took more chances and accomplished more, and in a more fan friendly style, than Mayweather has.

take a good look at what he has done the last 10 years....most of his fights are pathetic no name match ups..... yes he started out good with castillio and corrales, but that was 10 years ago.....hes wasted his talent by not fighting the best...and no , shot oscar de lahoya and gatti count....maybe ricky hatton, but hatton had feasted on more stiffs than floyd and was beaten by welterweight collazo already before the floyd fight....YAWN on floyds last 9 years. wheres margarito, williams, cotto, mosely?? not on his record....

Yes. Though I think PBF has achieved far more, and RJJ had the most extraordinary talent of the past few decades. The De La Hoya and Hatton wins are underrated (particularly the manner of both victories, given he showed different styles).

PBF is an ATG, I think. The thing is, most of his achievements came earlier in his career, so his current attitude is only detracting from the stellar work he did at 130 and 135. A those weights, plus de la hoya and Hatton and linear champ at welterweight is still a great record.

    he's throwing it all away.

I think Floyd had successfully defamed Pac and damaged his legacy to the point that he (Floyd) can retire now and be considered as the BEST BACKFIGHTER of this era.:yep It will be very difficult for Pac to rebuild the legacy he had built through years of hardwork and sacrifices so the defamation case he filed against Mayweather and cohorts, I think is justified.

    Mayweather is the man.
The best boxer of this decade.
    Skill second to none.
    And when he is retired.
The promoters will desperately look for someone to fill the void.
    Pac was filling the void.
    But the man is back.
    Pac doesnt have the parts.
    Floyd does.

Floyd came out of retirement because he wanted to face Pacquiao and thought it would be an easy fight. Once Pac started destroying guys that Floyd struggled with and the guy he ran away from Floyd changed his mind and wished he were still retired.

ODH was not shot nor was hatton and he dominated zab and baldo who were the 2 best at the time...shane had a toothache and cotto said he was too green....u can question his resume all day but he had a better one than calzaghe and marciano who both retired undefeated winning titles in three classes combined...he fought every type of fighter and beat them all...he will not retire yet anyway but if he did he would be recognized down the road as one of the greats OBVIOUSLY

best at 130 ever, only competition is arguello (rip). 135 can't gauge, i would honestly rate him as one of the most TALENTED 140 ever, probably top 5

Yes he has a better resume than Marciano and Calzaghe but what are his excuses for not facing Clottey, Wright, Berto, **** I'll even give him respect if he fought Collazo. He was a great lightweight but hasn't done **** at WW and has been there for years. Yes he moved up to fight DLH but would he really do that to fight a younger fighter in Martinez or Paul Williams? Hell No. He beat Zab right after he looked like crap after losing to Baldomir. Every type of fighter? When has he fought a great defensive fighter or a fighter that could possibly beat him at WW? Never. Your boyfriend is pissing away his career by not testing himself currently.
