If Mayweather stays ON the ROPES like he did with COTTO .. he's GONE!

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Low Blow Combos, Feb 21, 2013.

  1. I know it is another cherry pick BUT if Mayweather stays on the ropes like that, HE WILL GET stunned and possibly knocked out.

WHY? Body size. Little Cotto was able to fatigue mayweather imposing his strenght over him, Guerrero will do the same and in more imposing fashion..

    Agree, Disagree? Thoughts?

Floyd is going to make it a super easy night for himself by pushing Guerrero back

I don't think Guerrero has the power to stop/serious hurt Mayweather. If Mayweather took Cotto's best shot and kept punching back, Guerrero won't be able to do any better. This is boxing though, anything is possible.

Guerrero isn't as physically strong as Cotto, nor as good a boxer.

  5. His legs are gone brush. The Mayweather that fought Hatton isn't the same Mayweather that fought Cotto.

Mayweather has to push himself to stay on his toe (IF he can) or he's gonna have a tough last 6 rounds to end the fight.

may could probably pick the shots off with his elbow and box him off the ropes

  8. Body size wise, I think he has a bigger body to put all over mayweather. no homo.

    What?

Mayweather being on offense and walking down opponents takes less energy than him being mostly defensive. Have you ever watched Mayweather fight prior to Cotto?

Guerrero weighed 153 against Berto fight night. Cotto weighed significantly more on fight night against Mayweather. Damn son, do some research. :patsch

  11. Are you on crack againt thawk (with all due respect, I know u do drugs so thats why I ask)? Because that post has nothing to do with mine. :huh:huh I never mentioned anything about which style tires him most..

  12. Cotto has a smaller frame and he is shorter than Guerrero. He also has a shorter reach.

Seriously, and I'm being dead serious, stop doing drugs when you get online. And not only for the sake of discussion but for ur health man. U said u were serious in that other thread about quitting so just do it.

Floyd who fought Hatton didn't push Hatton back. He let Hatton come towards him then either broke Hatton's momentum with inside fighting, or he boxed off his backfoot.

Floyd who pushes people back is the Floyd that beat Judah and Mosley. There was also a bit of it in the Ortiz fight

 based on what? cuz of Berto?

pretty sure Floyd is a hundred times more crafty and he LOVES fighting off the ropes.

the whole fight could be with floyd against the ropes and he'd probably still win most of the rounds.

People underrate Floyd's physical strength because of his punching power. you almost never see floyd get outmuscled or bullied on the inside or against the ropes.

If Oscar and Cotto can't do it, neither can Guerrero.

You're a ****ing idiot. You said that Mayweather legs are gone in response to Slickstar saying Mayweather was going to walk Guerrero down. Making no sense as Mayweather doesn't need a lot of leg movement to enact that tactic.

    Get it Corky?
