Then why didn't he fight him?

He dismisses Pacquiao's PPV numbers over Cotto, he couldn't believe they just topped his PPV numbers with JMM. I know many of you Floyd Fans bought this excuse, but tell me, if mayweather says Marquez was not such a good PPV draw and that cotto was a good dance partner for Pacquiao that's why they did 1.25 million buys, why didn't Mayweather fight him? Mayweather has avoided Cotto for a long time, and don't deny this, he has an interview saying cotto wasn't such a draw at all now he contradicts himself. Answer the question, why didn't mayweather fought him instead of marquez?:good:good

I think he didn't fight him because he wanted an easy fight against a smaller man. I still think Mayweather would've beaten Cotto but it would've been more difficult. I believe someone else on this board said he wanted to fight Marquez because Pac struggled against him twice and he wanted to prove that he can dominate him.

Simple answer, Bob Arum. Arum has major issues with Mayweather and it's obvious now, the entire world demands Mayweather/Pacquiao and Arum isn't making it happen and admitted he has no interest whatsoever with pathetic excuses in making it. With all the money everyone can do from this fight you would think Arum would put his differences aside and still he isn't, what makes you think he will for Cotto?

What Mayweather is trying to tell you in this one is how he can make nearly as much as Pac did with DLH/Cotto fighting Marquez. I'm sure you remember Mayweather also fought both DLH and Hatton and they, obviously, weren't associated with Arum.

No, that other 147lbers can also beat the bloated JMM, of only to prove that they can beat the guy that Pac struggled to beat.

Yeah I think they could but I doubt Marquez would want to fight them. He wanted to fight Mayweather because of his perfect record and the fact that he was the top P4P fighter before he retired.

This fight is going to happen. Arum would be the last guy to shut it down.

Arum is popular for keeping it in his stable and you would expect him to stick to that more than ever now after the Margarito and Pavlik disasters.

Mayweather fought Marquez instead of Cotto for the same reason he fought Hatton instead of Mosely and DLH instead of Margarito. Less risk.

Yes, and also one way to get a fight with Pac the soonest had he won. But that was stupid on JMM's part, But it did show hs warrior heart.

Now on topic, i think the TS meant to say that PBF avoided Cotto and chose to fight JMM because he knows JMM draws a whole country behind him, while Cotto doesnt draw flies. Now he's saying otherwise, yet again, contradicting himself.
