I'm talking about when he had him knocked down and hurt he couldn't finish the guy off. If he has this all world finishing ability then surely he would have finished off a guy like Cotto who's easy to hit and doesn't tie up when hurt. Also the ref waved off the fight Cotto was still standing and wanting to continue he could have made it through the round.

He was putting together some 2 and 3 punch combos against Mosley. He has been a lot more conservative since Judah though, not taking as many chances.

Everyone looks gassed when they fight Floyd though.

I already envision Floyd doing something similar. While he wont stay in the pocket against Pacquiao, he will stand his ground then move away when Pacquiao throws, then pressure him again.

Floyd pressures southpaws because it slows their rhythm. Not only that, but Pacquiao isnt that great on the inside.

He hit both Marquez and Mosley with several 3 punch combinations. He nearly finished Hatton in the 8th with a 5-6 punch combinations. Infact Floyds best combo is the left hook followed by the lead right.

Mayweather doesnt throw boat loads of multipe punch combinations because his first 2 land 99% of the time.

Mosley didn't land **** of note on Cotto until he hit him later in the fight and Cotto was hurt but the ref stopped the action because of a wet spot. PBF's punch resistance is fine he got caught flush by the biggest puncher in the division in the temple twice and fired back and came forward. What was amazing is the fact that he didn't get hit again for the rest of the fight with that punch, he adjusted to it and took it away.

unless im mistaken in that round floyd smotherd shane and held onto shane and at the end of the round was back on the oofensive

infact shane threw more punches in the second half of the fight so were as the stamina issue may be valid in the 2nd round it was not a factor so after that its up to you did shane tire ? did floyd simply work him out? a combination of both

You're poll is silly btw. Its either dominance or Floyd getting KO'd. Pressuring Pacquiao could be effective at times in the fight doesnt mean he's going to do that all the time.

Marquez didn't really look gassed against Floyd.

I think many of Floyd's recent opponents have just had poor conditioning. Mosley out for 16 months, Oscar 12 months, Judah as usual, Hatton gassed really bad against Collazo too and took a beating vs floyd anyways.

JMM was not gassed although he was 35 years old! Mosley is 38 that is why he was gassed!

Castillo did not gas out nor Hatton. It so happen that Mayweather is fighting OLD men lately!

I remember before the Hatton fight, many on here claimed that Mayweather could only win if he kept the fight on the outside. Well, he stood his ground, Hatton got inside, and Hatton got beat up on the inside. Before the Mosley fight he said he would press the action and many on here laughed. He did press the action and won damn near every round. Mayweather is a defensive genius. They guy sees everything. Once he times your punches and figures out the angles, you're going to have a hard time landing on him. Can anyone recall one good punch that Mosley landed after the 2nd round?

Realistically, Pacquaiao has an effective but not a devastating right hand. So if Mayweather is able to block Pac's left hand, Pac will have a hard time landing anything of significance. At this point Mayweather could fight going foward, backward, sideways, it wouldn't matter. Either way he wouldn't be getting hit much. So the answer to the question is, once Mayweather is able to neutralize Pac's right hand, he'll fight in any manner he wants to.
