To the contrary my friend, I have been trumpeting Margarito to KO floyd since after the KO 1 of Gomez when he first called out floyd and said what would happen to floyd is what would happen to uncle Roger against Chavez. This was said at the post fight press conference with an embarrassed Roger sitting right there. It became much more clear and obvious shortly after when floyd at first said he'd fight Margarito or anybody anywhere as long as Bob Arum showed him the money. When Bob Arum showed him the money, floyd used about ten other excuses to shuck and jive Margarito. Then the hypocracies and double talk from floyd became absurd. If you began watching this situation develop from early 2006 with an open mind, you would know floyd is afraid of Margarito too. But then again you might also know it now as well, you just simply cannot admit it. Floyd's good fighter. But at 147 his kryptonite is ANTONIO MARGARITO. (Also Paul Williams and Cotto too.)
Paul would beat Floyd. Floyd would beat Margo Floyd would kill Cotto. Literally, kill him. Floyd was showed 8 million and the WBO title. Baldomir showed him 8 million + PPV sales and the Lineal title. Arum was too cheap.
G. Hernandez Mitchell Hatton Judah Corley I could go on but you get the picture. Body work isnt all about Hooks to the body. If you seen enough of floyds fights then you'll notice that besides his right hands and left hooks he leads of with, he jabs to the body alot
Margarito loses the first half but comes on strong in the second half and ends up winning or losing a close decision. Depends on how the scorecards turn out.
Wow...atsch Yea...let's ignore the HUGE number of times Mayweather uppercut THE **** outta those guys and look at the SMALL number of times he jabbed at the stomach to keep these guys at a distance
I reviewed some of his fights and looked for body work...i still don't see a HUGE amount of devotion put into the body...he jabs a bit and that's about it really...he occassionally throws a hook when clinched but i wouldn't call that a body attack plan... Just look at serious body puncher and boxers who focus on body work...Floyd resembles none of them...he pot shots occasionally to the body so his jab won't be so easily telegraphed at the head...keeping his opponent guessing at to what he's going to aim for. So again...I'm not confused...I take back my hyperbole about saying he has ZERO because that would imply that almost little to NO shots are being delivered to the body...and that wasn't the case...but to say he attacks the body and has an underrated body attack is just stupid
He is underrated as far as body attacking goes. He's very attacks the body, more accurate than Margo or Cotto. He just doesn't throw as many shots.
I wouldn't quite call that a body attack then...because if you look at Cotto's recent work...he doesn't necessarily go all out on the body. He switches from body to head, head to body. It seems to me like Mayweather attacks the body so his jab won't be telegraphed, using his jab at the body when the head is being blocked or moving. But I wouldn't call that body work.
You said he has no body work, which is not true, you ask for fights in which he used a body attack and i gave you several. Watch the Judah and Corley fights if you want to see him go to the body alot.
